Well it looks like the Trucker Protest in Ottawa is over. Most of the protestors left on their own and the rest were pushed out by police.

I for one am glad to see an end to the occupation and even gladder to see that it happened with virtually no violence from either side.
Well done.
When the protest stopped being a party and they were faced with actual consequences for their actions, most of the protestors lost their stomach for the "freedom" convoy.
Ottawa residents can stop being imprisoned in their own city and people can get back to work.

Like Covid, the Canadian truckers’ convoy actions are spreading…beyond Canada’s borders. We’re getting ready for ours here.
@soar2newhighs

Yeah they've inspire some protests elsewhere. But hopefully y'all won't be caught flat-footed like the Ottawa police were. Not that they should have been either. The protestors announced what they were going to do and then did exactly that lol
@Pikachu Are you serious? Catch our LE flat footed? No, they’re being defunded, have their hands tied and are considered bad. Why would anyone want to utilize them, now!?
We’ll have to see how the US convoys make out.

@soar2newhighs I watched a news clip about a trucker that had spent a night in jail. A couple of weeks ago he was claiming that he would stay there and continue protesting for years if he had to. But after spending one night in jail he came out crying that he just wanted to go home. Cheers!
@Nanoose

Yeah i think a lot of protestors saying they would stay there no matter what, start a civil war and so on were saying that as they enjoyed virtually no police response for 3 weeks.
Seems like they lost their stomach for the occupation when they actually started facing consequences.
@Nanoose Any reason why he was crying? Or are we left to ponder that?
