I am sure some in both parties support banning of some books, statues, symbols, etc.
For example: From the left: Uncle Ben's Rice, Aunt Jemima syrup, "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Huckleberry Finn." etc.
From the right: CRT books, transgender propaganda, etc.

@ProfessorPlum77 Who on the left is pushing banning either To Kill a Mockingbird or Huckleberry Finn??
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@SomeMichGuy Schools, to name one.
The so-called "Woke" crowd, for another.

@ProfessorPlum77 Schools? Which schools? Any of the liberal triumvirate of Berkeley, UWisc/Madison, Univ. of Michigan?
Who in the "woke" crowd is calling for this?

@SomeMichGuy Remember all of the "statue removals." Even one of Abraham Lincoln? (In Boston, I think it was.) The "Woke" crowd was behind those.

Go to marshall.edu/library/bannedbooks to begin your quest.

"Huckleberry Finn" has been banned or challenged at least 54 times from 1895-2019. In 21 states either schools or public libraries.

Not asking this question in a rhetorical sense, but it seems there is more to what we don't see than what we do. The origin of what we now call 'wokeness' had to have begun somewhere. What do you think about its philosophical origins at the Frankfurt School in Germany before it was transferred to Columbia University in New York City?

@ProfessorPlum77 Nobody is trying to ban books on CRT or LGBT just questioning their place in schools as propaganda tools, and pornography in particular.
It is the left that is trying to censor alternative opinions on those issues, for the whole of society
