Dems end deadlock, House hands Biden $1 Trillion infrastructure win

Took long enough. Our government is inept.
I guess it has to be positively spinned by somebody.
It has about 50-60% real infrastructure spending and the rest is progressive claptrap.
@LamontCranston 🤦‍♂️ Good to know your portfolio is a who's who of American arms dealers.

Literally none of those or even every one of them combined would require the military budget of the US. The US consistently spends more then the next 10 countries combined....and yet have yet to win a war since 1945. DOD has to be the worst ROI in human history.

There is no justification for the current levels of funding and you want to set billions more on fire.

@LamontCranston Jihadism 🤔
@QuixoticSoul It's next to one of those -stans, right? Kinda tucked in like a Baltic republic...you know, LLE, all in a tight little row...so smug...so tiny...

Further destruction of the US thru fraudulent uncontrolled spending
The corrupt dems get richer as the people will suffer
@Shaveit
run away inflation
You are old enough to remember worse and you have NEVER had "runaway" inflation in the US in your lifetime.
I’ve been in places where I had to show my papers.
So have I, but I'll be honest and say that they documemted citizenship & approval to be somewhere. You are free to travel in the US without showing THOSE papers.

And want to work with kids? You have to show a negative TB test...the "papers" you mean.

These lies are beneath a man of your age, who should be revered for his memory, rather than derided for his falsehoods.
@Shaveit SHEEP LED TO SLAUGHTER? LMAO The point is to PREVENT the virus from slaughtering more Americans and others.

Stop dealing in hyperbole.
@Shaveit
Further destruction of the US thru fraudulent uncontrolled spending
Spending from the national Treasury is controlled by the legislature. When that branch passes a spending bill/authorization, even if it does not pass one's own personal muster, it is not fraudulent.

As for uncontrolled, it was arrived at through compromise, and does have a cap.

And if DJT had *actually* wanted his legislative lapdogs to make good on his infrastructure promise, it would have happened, and been only a few years earlier than this VERY late attention to needed projects which simply don't seem as "sexy" to lawmakers.

I have no way to process this in the light of the open & obvious mal-/misfeasance & corruption of the previous holder of the highest executive office.
Paid family leave is back in it, so the Senate will cut that out, then when it goes back to the House, it will be the same fight and nothing will happen.

It's so slow in Washington that the country is falling apart faster than we are fixing it.
Build back better?
There's no such plan.
@Stopmakingsense There is a plan, but the party of no can't support trying to save the country as we climb out of the pandemic and global warming.

The Sen. from WV seems to like his corporate donors more than his constituents; the free retraining will be VITAL to help get people into paying jobs as coal, etc., downsize.

Thanks to the RHINO'S.
@Muldoon You mean RINOs? I seriously doubt you can tie in endangered African species to this argument...

That's too bad.

@ron122 Still waiting.
ron122 · 41-45, M
@Graylight It's easy to find if you know how to read and aren't too lazy.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@ron122 Really? Can you at least point me in the direction of this future-telling itemized cost breakdown across the board for a trillion dollar spending project that hasn't started yet?
Human1000 · M
Great timing.🙄
