AOC says we need to abolish all prisons in the United States

@wildbill83 tbh she actually never said to abolish all jails. She actually said to stop building them so that we can focus more on rehabilitation for those suffering mental issues. Man fox news can really spin a quote pretty fast

@sunsporter1649 well would you like to spend years in prison and then get out with no life, $20 to your name, the clothes on your back, and so many limitations on you that it's literally just easier to go back to prison all over some weed?

@Mistakesmakeus Prison is supposed to be a punishment, not a reward. That's the reason the system is overpopulated; many prisoners have a better quality of life than good/honest people.

Many families struggle to put food on the table; meanwhile prisoners get three hot meals a day and we're worried about "rehabilitation"? 🙄

@wildbill83 um.. have you SEEN the meals they serve know prison? Have you SEEN the conditions of current prisons? Youd think twice about claiming it's a better life in there
