@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout None of the Fashies in that video got banned or "cancelled." They just got humiliated.

Many of them don't even know what debating is lol

Yeah but...
This has been making the rounds from the Progressive left as if it really matters in the big picture. Gets me a little crazy that so many put such import on the OPINIONS of those whose job it is to manipulate, cajole and increase viewership. I don't get it.

@PrincessAwesome Agreed. But I think the fact vs belief perspective is pretty much a given at this point and I'm not sure how much sway Sam Seder really has in changing minds.
My point is about hero-worship and how quick many are to rely on the thoughts of others to form their opinions without really considering much beyond that. Right or Left. Doesn't matter. These types of guys are, to me, nothing but a place to reinforce belief so people can be on a team. I just find it lazy and am sure there's a lack of consideration about WHY these online provocateurs are doing what they're doing.

@Ynotisay I'm sure there are some people who only watch these guys to have their own opinions reinforced. But when it comes to debate, you're forced to hear ideas that you don't agree with. And of course some people will never watch a debate for that reason, but others will, even if just to see their guy win. And sometimes people actually do change their minds when they hear how easily right-wing ideas are destroyed.
As for why they're doing what they're doing, some of them are grifters, some of them are seriously trying to make the world a better place.

@PrincessAwesome I think it see it differently than you. I actually wasted some of my life yesterday watching Seder give his take on the whole thing. It was extraordinarily childish. And maybe because I have a few years on you I can say, pretty much unequivocally, that anyone turning in to a "debate" with these two (which wouldn't really be a debate because debates have rules), is not going to have their mind changed about anything. It's not about hearing and considering alternate views. It's about winning.
And for me? Two guys with entertainment backgrounds, not political, have found a niche online that they exploit. Seder has far more experience as a "mainstream" pundit but they both got fired from "real" media. Pre-internet these guys would be have been popping off to their buddies in a bar. Do they serve a role for young people who are figuring out their political perspectives? Yeah. I guess. But there's definitely better avenues for that IMO.

Thanks for sharing.
It is funny and shows how vacuous the Youtube right is. Unfortunately, it is gonna be popular because they don't have to win debates to get an audience, just knock down strawmen over and over against for audience that is never gonna think too deeply about it.
Joe Rogan is not a leftist and I don't agree with him on many things but he is at least a critical thinker enough to call out the most egregious BS. Andrew Neil (who humiliated Shapiro) is actually a staunch Conservative, just one with some journalistic standards.

I guess you've never heard of Ben Shapiro... 🤔
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@wildbill83 Ben Shapiro may be against Socialism, but when debating Leftists, he gets publicly owned.
He's actually in that video a few times.

@PrincessAwesome "owned"? lol
arguing with leftists is like playing chess with a pigeon; in the end, it'll just shit all over the board then strut around like it won...🙄

@wildbill83 Take a look at the debates on Youtube. Conservatives always get destroyed.
Conservatism is very feeling-based. That's why they're always talking about culture war bullshit, but avoid actual issues.

{@princessawesome] 🤫 who is the guy on the left the one who looks like a young woody allen
Calling this debate is a little misleading.
PrincessAwesome · 22-25, F
@MistyCee Crowder vs Seder wasn't a debate, but look at all the other clips. This is why Crowder pussed out.
