How much did Trump spend to buy off 40+ Senators to acquit him?

@drymer Because they know his voter base is big, and they don't wanna cross them. As much as I hate the GOP, they play better politics than most. They know the number one rule is to always run towards your base. Half the time I get more upset with the democrats than I do the republicans because I'm SUPPOSED to be represented by the democratic party considering I'm a leftist, but the democrats love nothing more than to run away from their base at full tilt while giving them the middle finger.

@BlueMetalChick yes but the polls are showing that a lot of Republicans like a lot of Bidens plans for the country but they are standing firm with the 1 percent that they are true servants of and really don't care about the rest of them or the Democrats.

@BlueMetalChick yes he has been almost all of his career. That's why I am pleasantly surprised at what he is doing as president.

@fddlpej Well, I gotta admit, it is sometimes hard to criticize him since it feels so much better compared to Trump. Kinda like how Obama sorta sucked but coming after Bush made him feel better.
