President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings.

What is now considered investigative reporting is not the same as what use to be investigative reporting.

What use to be bi-partizan is now filled with what use to be considered "op-ed" and mainly put out by super large media agencies which other networks on both sides share.

Now having said that. What some consider non fake news is purely partizan. Little investigation is made and few sources are given up front.

Both have serious problems. Because the while the main stream media gives some sources they only report on what is popular. And then fill it up with what I call "feel good stories", celebrity stories sports and multiple repetitions of the same weather reports, in stead of filling out with what is really happening.

This all started when the major networks started buying all their news from other agencies such as AP news and CNN instead of finding it for themselves.

This I can see why they find it so objectionable. And why they call it fake. Yet there reasoning is also faulty for they ALL go to sources that give no sources at all for the most part.

It's a very sad. Things should change on how news reporting is done ALL around. Multiple sources should be used and less filler should also be used. 🤷‍♂️

Also op-ed should be called just that! Op-ed (opinionated editorial) on both sides!

In theory, it's a phrase that could be applied to satire sites or conspiracy pages. As in things purporting to be news but lacking any journalistic credibility or diligence. But more often than not it's a phrase used to dismiss actual news reports that the speaker doesn't want to engage with because it conflicts with their worldview

Sort of like Sunsporter, then? @TryingtoLava
Pretty much any agenda-based representation of journalism that conditions you to adopt certain perspectives instead of providing a broad journalistic investigation that encourages the viewer/reader to formulate their own informed perspectives.

@KrackerBash Every post is subjective and I’ve always looked down on Trump supporters, that’s nothing new. To take offense would make me no better than them.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Archtiger News is composed of facts. Facts are not subjective. Never. They exist independently and separately from opinions. The method of journalism - to use the term loosely - the what creates subjectivity.

Is it fake news or subjective that Trump stood up one day and uttered words that were then repeated verbatim? No; that's the description of what actually happened. Now, does CNN's incessant and unwavering coverage of it as evidence of a man's state of mind define objectivity? Not even close. That's the converted hiring a choir to preach right back at them. The facts aren't the issue - it's the context and format in which they're presented that create subjectivity. (The same is true across Fox, Breitbart, Msnbc, Newsmax and others).

News that’s true but I disagree with it.
A way to describe misinformation that has been diverted into a propaganda tool by Trump, as his enablers and followers.

I think the secondary term is propaganda.
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
News of something that isn't true, of course. The death hoax of Kim Jong Un last year was one example.

All news has bias of some kind but fake news is different. Its deliberately invented stories in order to shitpost democracy.
