Why are people so afraid?

We'll see how the fear thing works this time around. I don't think last night was a great presentation, but it's tried and true and in that sense,even "conservative."

People who lack authenticity and values in their lives treasure things accumulate along the way. They surround themselves material goods, laws that favor them and people who look just like they do. When they perceive something that threatens their way of life, and everything does, they demonize it and try to rid their tiny worlds of it. Change and evolution can be bewildering and frightening sometimes, and they'll have none of that because if we take their stuff, they have nothing left.

And while they won't say it, they are afraid of even themselves. Hense why the desire for guns. 😔

You do realize that, putting aside the hyperbolic, hysterical media hype, most people on both side of the political debacle we currently find ourselves in, are just hard working ordinary folks who want to live their lives and raise their kids, right? We are being spoon fed a steady diet of fear, not because it's all true but because it sells cereal and hair products!

Do they want to live in a country like North Korea? I certainly value my freedom or at least the illusion that I have freedom
