Why are people so afraid?

Listening to the American Republicans makes me think that their lives would be just dandy if their world was free of democrats, socialists, angry black people, mexicans, muslims/arabs, homosexuals, jews, Asians, indians (both types), people with handicaps or serious medical conditions, tree huggers, elitist climate change and pandemic alarmists, and most definitely the poor. Will the last perfect one left please turn out the lights?

People who lack authenticity and values in their lives treasure things accumulate along the way. They surround themselves material goods, laws that favor them and people who look just like they do. When they perceive something that threatens their way of life, and everything does, they demonize it and try to rid their tiny worlds of it. Change and evolution can be bewildering and frightening sometimes, and they'll have none of that because if we take their stuff, they have nothing left.
