Instead of bashing President Trump, how about you tell me what makes former VP Biden a better pick?

Because he is not Trump is an invalid, lazy answer.

Biden is pretty bad too but Trump is so incompetent he would lose against a ventriloquist dummy at this point.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow do you think anyone could surround him or herself with such an assortment of corruption and crooks as tRump has?
@samueltyler2 Sure. Biden. It is completely bullshit to claim one is objectively better then the other. Sure Biden might be more civil but they are far more alike then different. It is why he has the support of the establishment elites.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I disagree. That is both our right. The stink of the tRump administration is so bad, I don't think there is any close comparison.
@samueltyler2 You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow let us not argue facts, tRump loses on that. How many bankruptcies, lies? That is just the beginning. Is covid a hoax, if You think so, tell that to the families of those killed. Was Obama born in the US?
@samueltyler2 Biden doesn't do any better. The only difference is the specific incidents in question. Starting his career being on the wrong side of racial segregation and backing dixicrats, being such a corporate shill he was literally knicknamed the Senator from MBNA, lying about his education, supporting the deregulation that led to the crash, backing to this day the 1994 omnibus crime bill that created the largest prison population on earth and disproportionately blacks, and backing cutting Social Security. Not exactly a good look either.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow have you learned from your experiences? Isn't he entitled to that? What about tRump, son of a Klan member, fined for racial discrimination in housing, almost routinely stiffed contractors, declared bankruptcy at least 3 times. Managed to avoid being charged for tax fraud, so far, because of the statute of limitations. None of that compares to this years craziness.
@samueltyler2 That might be remotely credible if it were not for the fact that Biden has doubled down on pretty much all of those things in the last few months and doesn't consider any of those things mistakes.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I disagree. He has said that he did things at the time that he thought were correct at the time. He said that if the same came up now he would act differently. Mr. Double down even when shown to be totally wrong will go nameless right now! I think the true good in a person is judged on an ability to alter one's mind when shown the need, the ability to admit making an error.
@samueltyler2 Again, you are entitled to your opinions but not your own facts.

The most charitable thing you can say about him on any of those issues is he has been silent about his previous stance on racial segregation. That being said he has made plenty of statements that suggests he is not much different on that issue either. All those other points he has either outright lied about or doubled down on. Given the current climate it was especially crazy that he still doubled down on the 94 crime bill that created many of the things BLM is fighting right now.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I disagree with your statement of the facts. Those are really not open to interpretation.
@samueltyler2 Funny because you are trying so hard to "interprete" your own facts.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow no I am not. What facts do you disagree with? Compare the 2 candidates for the approaching election. Which one has changed his opinions for the better? Who keeps getting caught in ever more startling deals?
@samueltyler2 You have literally ignored every fact I have presented about Biden and just pretend they are not real because you don't like Trump. "Not Trump" is not a valid argument for anything. And you are completely inventing this concept that Biden has disavowed his past. This is nothing but blue MAGA nonsense.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I didn't argue that he did some things in the past that today we disagree with. I disagree that he hasn't changed. On the other hand, and unavoidable, is that his probable opponent was despicable then and is also so now!
@samueltyler2 Unfortunately he has made clear he has not learned a thing. In fact within the last few months he has not only doubled down on his support of the 94 crime bill but actively justified it and has stated that he still thinks it was the correct decision. During the debates he flat out lied about his previous stance on things like Social Security. This is not distant past. This is within the last few months.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I think your timing is wrong!
@samueltyler2 Facts and not what you believe is what matters.
@samueltyler2 For 3 decades he has been consistently on the wrong side of the war on drugs and the 94 crime bill which is responsible for pretty much the majority of the issues BLM is fighting. And before that he was pro segregation and that doesn't even get into how liberal sellouts suddenly changed their tune on Me Too the minute he got accused. Very convenient.
@samueltyler2 My guess is part of the reason why he has been MIA and radio silent for so long is because on literally every important social issue right now he has a decades long history of being on the wrong side of it. So for the Democratic establishment the best thing Biden can do is make people forget he is even around.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow the country was in the midst of tremendous crime, mostly related to drugs. We all learned the hard way, that you can not legislate not legally enforce drug abuse. That is great Monday morning quarterbacking. I was seeing patients so strung out by crack that we needed to be aggressive in their management. That led to the outcry to try to stop it. By the way, I believe the war on drugs was not one of Biden's works, wasn't it under Reagan? Not that it is exoneration, but one has to look at the entire picture when looking back on specific laws, philosophies, etc.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow he doesn't have to say anything his opponent is doing enough damage.
@samueltyler2 That might seem reasonable if it was not for the fact that within the least 4 months he still doubles down on all of those issue even when given softball interviews with the interviewer deliberately giving him a chance to change his positions. He has not changed a thing.

I agree that Trump is losing the election himself but every time Biden comes out of the basement he only screws himself over and proves he is really not any better. So yeah if he hides people will see how lousy Trump is but can conveniently forget what a train wreck his non alternative is too.

And I am not sure why you brought up Reagan because Biden has been in office since 1973 so he was involved in the process before Reagan even showed up.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow give me examples, withbstatement and dates, in which Biden is "doubling down," on crime or drugs? While You are at it how about his involvement in ACA?
@samueltyler2 Honestly I see the ACA as a bait and switch. Obama and Biden talked about real reform and a move towards medicare for all and instead gave the insurance industry a captive market. It was little more then corporate welfare for the insurance oligarchs. Biden has also said he does not support Medicare for all in the middle of a pandemic. So much for having a clue.
