Because it makes you just as bad. Say your peace but move on. No need to talk about him every day and fall over his every word. @Dshhh

@Kimcat This was after things were already getting bad in March and at the same time he was still telling his fans it was a hoax.
Also Yale Institute for global health published a paper stating to make any significant impact a total ban on 90% of all global air travel would have been required and even then only delays the problem. Trump banned travel from a single Chinese province where it originated. It looks good but really didn't have much impact especially with completely screwing up later.

Do you mean outside of his decades of experience as a public servant, domestic and international relationships, curiosity, intelligence, gravitas and a sense of humanity, humility and compassion?
And sorry man but "Because he's not Trump" IS a valid answer.

@Ynotisay Not only IS it a valid answer, but it is probably the most important answer. With every other election in the lifetime of anyone living, the choice has been between two people with a basic level of competence. But this time, even a wet sneaker would be far superior to Trump. Thank goodness Biden is experienced and compassionate, and all the other attributes you mention, and will do a very competent job of starting to repair the monumental damage done to the nation and the world under the first (and last) Trump term.

It is simple enough. And contained in as worthy a document as the Hippocratic oath sworn by Doctors. "First, Do no harm"
Biden may or not be a good candidate. Even I have my doubts. However he has experience in the diplomatic field, and a history of listening to advice.
And will stop the constant fueling of discord internally and picking arguments he cant possibly win with international allies and not so allies. And, he will not owe tens of millions personally to foreign banks influenced by the Russian leader.
So. Even if he is not a great alternative, it is time America stopped hitting itself on the side of the head with a brick.

VP Pick. What matters most?
Sleepy creepy Joe Biden first announced that his VP pick would be a “woman of color” (presumably he meant a black woman) but apparently he has backpedaled a bit on the issue because there are as many white women on his “short list” as there are black women.
Apparently, what matters most to Biden is gender and/or skin color.
This is so typical of the left.
They don’t see people as individuals, they see skin color, they see gender, they see sexual orientation, they see any number of immutable characteristics, and this is what matters most to them.
For the left, people are not recognized by who they are, they are defined by what group they represent and they are expected, nay, they are required, to adhere to their group think.
When it comes to a vice presidential candidate, I would think that what should matter most is things like, experience, leadership, accomplishments and competence.
Skin color and gender would not even be among my qualifications. But of course, unlike people on the left, I’m not a bigot or a racist.

Biden is pretty bad too but Trump is so incompetent he would lose against a ventriloquist dummy at this point.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow the term Medicare for all is a popularized one. It really has no meaning, knowing what Medicare is currently. What is needed is universal health care, not just medical care which is all that Medicare as currently organized consists of. The original version did include a public option which would have looked a lot like Medicare. It was stripped out by Congress not Biden! The original ACA put aside funds for medical education and preventive medicine, more importantly, it had money for training public health professionals. That was one of the first to go under a Republican congress and then administration! We are now paying a severe price for that. Listen to what Biden says carefully about universal health care. The republicans have said for over 8 years now, that they will abolish ACA and replace it with something better. Have you seen even one word of such a plan?
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@samueltyler2 I have heard exactly what Biden has said on medicare and he has said universal health care is off the table, full stop. Not surprising since one of his major backers are the insurance industry. The guy basically believes whatever his donors tell him to on healthcare. And the claim that medicare for all is just a buzzword is complete bullshit. It is used because Medicare is a blue print for how universal healthcare can be implemented without reinventing the wheel. But honestly the US could choose from any number of implementations from any other developed nation on earth. Literally any of them would be a vast improvement.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't know where you heard that, it is absolutely not true. He has pushed for universal health care, that is what ACA was supposed to provide until the republicans fought the congress and Obama administration on that. Again, you are confusing Medicare for all and Universal Health Care.
You have no idea what you are speaking about when you speak about Medicare. It is no where near what a form of Universal health care is, or should be. I live in the US, I am on Medicare so I know the difference between what I have and what universal health care should be. I am also a physician so know the difference between how you need to work as a provider with Medicare verses other forms of coverage. Medicaid is closer to the form of universal care needed, but it only covers certain individuals, mostly lower income people. If you want to think of a US m=odel, that would be closer.
ACA was a far better model for universal health care. I won't argue that there are many other models in other countries, none is perfect. It would be nice to take the best parts of ACA and fix the system, rather than to abandon it.

Joe Biden wouldn't have called the COVID-19 pandemic (henceforth to be known as the Trump Pandemic) a hoax and sold all the national stockpile of PPE to foreign countries.
That's one.
That's one.

@CleverFunnyNameGoesHere only 1 of the 2 are truly evil in the way they deal with others
@samueltyler2 I don't like men who fondle girls. And Biden is so influential that whatever abuses he commits no one in his circle really makes a big deal out of it. That's pretty fucking evil. Trump's bull shit we see most of the time. Bidens supporters are busy gaslighting the nation into voting for him.
Neither is acceptable. Both are dangerous for the economy, stability, and the constitution.

@CleverFunnyNameGoesHere oh, come on, what real evidence do you have of Biden "fondling" anyone? You do have a man who is an adultress, admits to fondling women, says he things his daughter is hot and he would live her in a carnal way!
