Bolton disagreed with Trump on several key issues. You do NOT disagree with Trump if you want to be employed. Period.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair LOL, disagree with your boss and see how long you stay employed
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 I don't talk to white supremacist Trump supporters. They have nothing to say of value.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Figures you would support these fine Americans.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Thank you for proving my point. Bye.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Lift your hat, there is another point there
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@sunsporter1649 anti facists, right? What's your problem?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@windinhishair
Bolton disagreed with Trump on several key issues.
That's true! And, if one is the National Security Director, it's probably best that you and the president are singing the same tune.

I don't have any inside info on the topic but I'm guessing that Bolton was too HAWKISH for Trump's liking. I know you don't care for Trump, but you might like that he has not gotten us into any new conflicts - other than with the media and democrats.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Budwick It isn't for the lack of trying to start a war with Iran. Trump may yet succeed in that during the last year and a half of his failed presidency. And given Bolton has been a hawk for his lifetime, did Trump not know what his own policies were before appointing Bolton, who never saw a conflict that he didn't want to turn into a war?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Yeah, offering to pow wow with Iran and the taliban id pretty fomenting.

Would you have been more pleased if Trump had kept Bolton? I mean, you could have bitched about that then.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Budwick I would like to see Trump make good choices for advisors, and show some stability. It clearly isn't going to happen. He thrives on chaos and dysfunction.
@sunsporter1649

I disagree with my boss all the time. Sometimes he listens to me, sometimes he doesn't but he doesn't ever punish me.
Because he's an adult and not three children in a trench coat standing on each other's shoulders...
Budwick · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Oh well!
I guess you'll have to suffer through Trump selecting smart people, with strong willed personalities, not afraid to butt heads.

While you crave stability - like Obama's administration that wouldn't dare think outside the box - I kinda like Trump's way. It's far more productive.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Budwick Smart people? That's a good one. Then why has he fired his "smart people" at rates never seen in American history? His approach is damaging to the nation and the world, and will take many years to repair once his failed presidency is over.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu
but he doesn't ever punish me.
Do you have national security responsibilities within your job? You know, stuff that could mean people living or dying kind of responsibility?
@Budwick

*trump firing his team left and right since he entered office*

Trump supporter: I have convinced myself that this is a positive quality!

lol neat
@Budwick

Did trump hire somebody he trusted to do the job?
If no then he's an idiot.
If yes then he shouldn't fire him for not agreeing.

See, that's not what good leaders do. That's what movie villains do.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu @Pikachu This is real life stuff Peek A Boo. Not the movies. Plans and priorities can change. The best people to fit the change might be someone new.

I like Bolton too. I thought he was best at the UN. He could be all tough and hawkish but had no trigger to pull. You're bitching just cuz it's Trump. You don't give a shit about his reasoning.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Budwick We could have a series of weekly/daily TV shows--National Security Advisor Apprentice, Secretary of State Apprentice, etc. Potential personnel could compete to see who could suck up to Trump the most. We could have a new one every week, and Trump would get both the adoration and publicity he cannot live without. We aren't far from that approach right now.
@Budwick
Not the movies
Lol then it would be cool if trump stopped acting like the caricature of an evil mayor in kids film😂

You missed the point, bud😉

I pointed out that a good leader does not fire an employee because they have disagreed. You attempted to justify this by saying it's a serious job when in fact this changes nothing. If you hired a person to advise you then you listen to their opinion. You don't have to follow it but you also don't fire them for their opinion.
And this rationalization is further undermined by the fact that this is not a one off but a PATTERN, bud.

See my first post.
Peace!
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Pikachu No, you missed THE point.

The leader of the Free World can and should have the people he wants in place making the decisions that need to be made without a great deal of oversight.

The pattern you are so afraid of is Trumps management style. Any upset to the status quo seems to concern you - even when it's stuff like the economy growing stronger and bigger, etc.

Face it Peek-a-boo, you are a lowly cartoon middle manager. You and your style would be eaten alive in the big world of politics and international business.
