@sunsporter1649 No, I mean you don't understand the topic.

@Graylight Enlighten us, please
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Naw, the origin and chronic nature of Chicago gun violence has been week studied. I don't have to lead a horse to water.

"Our thoughts and prayers" is what politicians say when they can't do anything useful from an natural disaster to a shooting

We have a long history of not giving entry to people in need.
In in 1939 we fulfilled 100% if our quote of Germans immigrating into the US.
From 1942 to 1945-- when Jews were fleeing for thier lives-- only 8% of the quota.

@CopperCicada I did realise that - just teasing you 😂

Thoughts and prayers. No visas without ID.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 No, but good mischaracterization effort.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Graylight You mean the peanut farmer was tough defending American interests?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Again, irrelevant to the conversation.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
So the Bahamas are the 51st state?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 See above comments. Particularly the one about being obtuse.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Graylight Nope, no American help going to the Bahamas.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 Why are you arguing a point no one made?!
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
It's called a condolence, you've probably done it at one time
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand A condolence is fine. I would think the leader of one of the richest nations on earth could do more than send a wish.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Graylight Nope, no American relief efforts going on.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@sunsporter1649 See: "Hurricane Maria and Puerto Rico"

Yes, Trump doesn’t want the “bad (read brown) people of the Bahamas” coming here.
I don’t live in hurricane country so perhaps people regularly maintain access to their personal documents after their homes and towns have been destroyed ? 🤔

@bijouxbroussard Yes, we always have state-of-the-art lock boxes and bough supplies...especially in our poorer regions. Then, when the water line is over or windows and some of us are tearing holes in the attic with a hammer, we make plans for securing visas in case we have to travel. You know how people are so organized in a disaster.
