The radical left socialist Democrat party is a recently created offshoot of the radical left communist party, represented by political activists all over this country, and by college and university professors everywhere, and by Anti-fa.

The sole purpose of the communist party in this country is, and always has been, the destruction of the roots of our Democratic Republic. Things like the law, belief in God, morals, and strong family units are being purposely attacked and eroded so that we will become too weak and demoralized to resist. That has always been the plan.

I listened to a California democrat on tv two weeks ago, who says that it is the state legislature of California, who are all straight up communists, who have created the mess of homelessness and disease and drug abuse in L.A. and San Francisco.

The radical socialist Democrat party believes that there is a huge chunk of voters out there who will only re-elect them and vote for them if they support radical socialism.

If you examine the list of people, above, you will see a list of politicians desperate for re-election at any cost, who wish to pander to what they believe are the most prevalent beliefs in the United States. You may also see two or three politicians listed who are allowing themselves to be used as puppets by political activists representing foreign terrorist groups.

The so called "entertainers" listed above, like the politicians, are also just desperate for attention at any cost, and will cooperate fully with political activists, and with what they perceive to be their young activist fan base.

ALL of it is a scream for attention.

In fact, most of the above histrionics have backfired.

Politicians would be better served promising things they can actually deliver, instead of pie in the sky.

Entertainers may believe that shock value is the only way to go, when, in fact, fun and good music and good comedy is the only way to go.

I'll buy this one for sure.

@4meAndyou Interesting history piece, but I'm still not connecting the dots to the modern Democratic party in your first sentence.

Moreover, while I see the political advantage of recalling the McCarthy era, and how natural it is for Trump as a former Roy Cohen client/admirer, i don't think that's. what. made America great.

@MistyCee I think we should recognize the forces behind what is making America shitty.
@4meAndyou I agree, but I'm not buying that communists are a big force these days.

Conflicts between socialism and capitalism, and disagreements about the role of government in the economy maybe, but I think even there, the bigger problem isn't socialism or capitalism themselves, but the use of those ideas to sway people to vote for special interests instead of for the public good as a whole.

Neither Trump nor Bernie, for example, are really pushing for pure ideologies.

I don't really see our problems today as being rooted in ideology at all, unless you count fascism, which I've never really bought as an ideology at all, and even there, the anti fascism bit is subject to abuse.

Back to the OP, I just don't see Conservatism or Liberalism as being the major source of our problems today.

It's easy to blame people calling themselves liberals or conservatives, and we can fight about that and how hypocritical they are for flying their flags, but I think our biggest problem is getting lost in the trees and not making informed judgments about how the forest ought to be managed and for what ends.

Seems like the first step ought to be looking at its benefits and making judgments about whether it should be treated as a renewable resource to be preserved and how to exploit it with the big picture in mind, i.e., looking at CO2, aesthetics, and the costs of logging the whole thing versus the benefits.

@MistyCee I think that communism and their 45 point plan for destroying the West are here, very healthy, and busy implementing the plan. Most of them call themselves socialists these days.

I am starving and my sandwich is sitting over there, so I will be gone for a half hour or so.

@4meAndyou Have a nice lunch. I need to do that and will probably be busy this afternoon as well, but I'll try and get a chance to look at your NPR link.
@4meAndyou Yup, I looked at that, and it seems more indicative of rejecting McCarthyism as archaic and unacceptable than it is evidence of a need for reviving it, but then again, its California, so who knows. Those guys are always on the bleeding edge, usually liberal, occasionally conservative, but rarely in the mainstream.
