Thr Senate doesn’t run voting. Voting safeguards have been beefed up since 2016 despite the objections of the libs running Facebook, Google, etc. @LeopoldBloom

@jackjjackson By "voting safeguards," you mean voter suppression aimed at disenfranchising Democrats. In-person voter fraud is virtually unheard of.

What needs to be addressed are electronic voting machines that have no paper record, and beefing up voter registration records which can be hacked very easily, and it's McConnell standing in the way of that. The conservative Supreme Court already approved gerrymandering, which the Republicans engage in more than Democrats, so hopefully CA will end their nonpartisan redistricting and gerrymander the fuck out of the state to send as many Democrats to the House as possible. It doesn't make sense to fight fair if your opponent is cheating.

Of course that’s not what I meant. In my state anyways the court has overturned republican gerrymander and imposed its own seemingly reasonable map. @LeopoldBloom

@jackjjackson And the Supreme Court should have required that of every state. If your state is controlled by Republicans, the court just cut them off at the knees.

If gerrymandering was a form of cheating, then of course it should be avoided. But the Supreme Court says it's not, so not employing it would be like saying television advertising is immoral and not using that either.

This is another instance of where a debate about which side is worse is pointless. They’ve both been doing it as long as they have existed. @LeopoldBloom
