Karmala Harris didn't have a good night last night, she still is a force to be reckoned with and will likely make it to the next round of debates.

No doubt that CA joke is under court review and will be overturned. @LeopoldBloom
LeopoldBloom · M
@jackjjackson Not necessarily. States are allowed to set rules for ballot qualification, like filing fees. The only problem is if a requirement is discriminatory or unreasonable, like saying you must have a business degree from Wharton, or you can't be named "Donald." Requiring candidates to release their tax returns is neither discriminatory nor unreasonable. I suppose someone who doesn't make enough money to file taxes could complain, but that wouldn't apply to Trump.
This only applies to the primary; if Trump is nominated, he would be on the ballot for the general election regardless. The Constitution only requires a general election, not primaries. South Carolina isn't even having a Republican primary, and I don't hear any conservatives complaining about that.

The unreasonable part is broader than you think. @LeopoldBloom

I'm curious - what is it about Gabbard that appeals to you? Her looks? Her 16 years in the military? Her anti-LGBT position that she claims to not hold anymore? The fact that she grew up in a religious cult, and may still be under the sway of its leader, even today?
I'm suspicious when conservatives say they like a Democratic candidate. In 2016, I heard conservatives say how much they liked Jim Webb, based on his military service and racist opinions.

Oops my mistake. Sorry. @LeopoldBloom
LeopoldBloom · M
@jackjjackson And now you have a peach-colored frame around your comments.

Apparently the site is helping us by highlighting the last comment for us to respond to. @LeopoldBloom

Would you feel the same way if she was ugly?? Cuz I haven't heard anything different from her than the rest of of dems.
jackjjackson · M
Gabbard did the best job justifiably hammering the camel. Geez I’m not SHALLOW 😂 @curiosi
TexChik · F
But to get the delegates she has to immerse herself into the radical left agenda ... I don’t see her getting the nomination
TexChik · F
@saragoodtimes Those swing states are about manufacturing and energy. With the left's promise to "tax the hell out of the rich" the money and the jobs will again move off shore, likely to stay this time. And don't forget they will force us all to lose our insurance and be forced to accept another Obamacare nightmare.
saragoodtimes · F
@TexChik 10000 baby boomers a day are becoming eligible for medicare for the next 15 years. let's see how the dems fund medicare for all
jackjjackson · M
They couldn’t even absent that without huge tax hikes and you know employers won’t increase wage - amount saved on no longer paying medical insurance. Regular people screwed yet again and not in the good way. @saragoodtimes

Way things are going.. Dems will be 100% black women soon enough..
Then they can lay out the most outrageous country bankrupting policies they like and any critics will be put down to racism and sexism..
Not the fact that they are outrageous country bankrupting policies 😎👌

Of course that’s not what I meant. In my state anyways the court has overturned republican gerrymander and imposed its own seemingly reasonable map. @LeopoldBloom
LeopoldBloom · M
@jackjjackson And the Supreme Court should have required that of every state. If your state is controlled by Republicans, the court just cut them off at the knees.
If gerrymandering was a form of cheating, then of course it should be avoided. But the Supreme Court says it's not, so not employing it would be like saying television advertising is immoral and not using that either.

This is another instance of where a debate about which side is worse is pointless. They’ve both been doing it as long as they have existed. @LeopoldBloom
DudeistPriest · M
Good choice. I think Amy Coney Barrett would be a fine choice for the Supreme Court after the badger passes.
The Left will blow all 8 gaskets they have left.

jackjjackson · M
I agree GW. I don’t agree with her politics but more importantly I admire RBG as a person greatly. @LeopoldBloom
LeopoldBloom · M
@jackjjackson Yep. She could be in a coma on life support, and that wouldn't be grounds for removal.
She's not going anywhere. She feels that Sandra Day O'Connor was pressured into resigning prematurely, and she doesn't want to make the same mistake.

Whatever RBG does is fine with me. I respect her. @LeopoldBloom

We've already had one president from Hawai'i' who didn't have a clue as to how to deal with Syria.
We don't need a second one.
We don't need a second one.

We sure don’t need one who has visiting angels. @beckyromero

No surprise that you will be voting for a reality tv drama queen and a moron that is starting to make the US look like Russia during the Yeltsin years.
jackjjackson · M
Once again as usual you don’t even try to address the topic 😀 @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

@jackjjackson Boris (Johnson) is a slightly more intelligent idiot although not by much. Trump sets a low bar. At least Boris Yeltsin had the excuse of being wasted Trump not so much as far as anyone knows. I suppose he might be a drunk. It would explain alot.
And I am directly addressing one of your comments in the original post. Try and keep up. I know you have reading comprehension trouble.
