Yes. Is it a crisis and the most important issue facing the country? Probably not.

@jackjjackson I just wanted the coffee ☕ lol

@jackjjackson It’s been steadily eroding since the Clinton era, when US was a hyper-power. Now we are starting to find ourselves in a multi-polar world. Trump, with his clumsy isolationism, is only accelerating the process. Obama wasn’t perfect, but he held the line for a bit.
The benefits of being able to define the international order aren’t necessarily especially tangible in the short term, but by the time their absence is felt, it will be too late to do anything about it. We are retreating on all fronts.
A direct example would be EU looking to neuter our Iran sanctions by remaining in the deal. That would have been unthinkable a couple of decades ago.

The EU isn’t what it used to be in many respects and i predict will disappear prior to complete implementation of the NGD. @QuixoticSoul

Yes I believe it is. I don't have a problem with immigration in general...but I think if someone want to come here, live among us, be a part of us, and share in the benefits of being an American, then they should do it legally and go through the proper channels to become citizens.

Anything illegal is a problem , illegal immigrants are a big problem...
StarlingDark · 31-35, F
Definitely.
ProThrall · 31-35, F
Yes
yes
joe438 · 61-69, M
Yes. As long as it's unchecked and we have to use our social nets to support people who can't work legally, it's a huge drain.
JT123 · M
Yes it is but the biggest problem is the drugs pouring across the border
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
Yes illegal immigrants take jobs, spots in school, and bring drugs and diseases
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@Entwistle Aww see everyone thinks you're thinking of the US
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Mountainlady16 what's the main cause of immigration to your country??
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@gol979 all the benefits
Pherick · 41-45, M
Sure all kinds of crime is a problem, but its like asking or comparing jaywalking to murder.
Are they both crimes? Sure, should police dedicate resources to both? Sure. Should those resources be equal? Thats where I start to have a problem.

It is a problem.
CuriousCutie · F
Ask family members of those killed by illegals- especially those who hid out in Sanctuary cities.
CuriousCutie · F
@QuixoticSoul They wouldn't be dead if the illegals weren't allowed in, and protected. Don't pretend to know how these people feel. Crime goes up when more criminals are allowed in- that is very simple math. More criminals = more crime.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@CuriousCutie Do you understand how crime rates work?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’ll mark you down as in favor of murder. @QuixoticSoul

Yes it is a problem. Theres different angles to take on the matter and different criteria that should take place when dealing with an illegal immigrant. Fist of when you hear illegal, we automatically classify someone as a drug runner, sex trade person or whatever it may be. If a person is found in the US to be illegal but have indeed lived a productive life here with no trouble in the system, they should be given the opportunity to be a citizen and not deported. They did break the law to get here, but obviously the reward was far more important than the consequence. We have extremists in everything, be it politics, immigration or religion.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
Sure. Like when the Europeans came over and committed a genocide against the Native Americans. Oh, but "God told us we were meant for this land", so it's okay. Not like it was their land or anything. 🙄
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@Marceline Not well at all, naturally. It's a different world now though. And honestly, if we could all fucking get along for a change instead of bickering over a tiny rock in space, we could be so much further than we are now. But instead, we'll keep fighting over it until we set off the nukes and become just another memory.
(Sorry, I'm in a really bitter mood this morning for some reason 😂)

@thepreposterouspanda i am a 3rd generation immigrant family myself, but i see a lot of problem when people migrate and bring their culture and habbits along. if you go to a new place you do as the people do in that place.

It’s wrong but these very countries are guility of colonising other lands in the past. As you sow, so shall you reap.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
The answer is in the question. Anything deemed to be illegal is clearly problematic.
they should feel shame, their ancestor also immigrant, steal native people's land
BlueRain · 51-55, F
@YukikoAmagi illegal immigrants
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
It’s a problem. But way way down the list of problems. More of a distraction.
gol979 · 41-45, M
A bit but it is used as a distraction
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
not in my country
Itsmrsockmonkey · M
Definitely
Montanaman · M
I think it's a problem because our government won't acknowledge that Aliens exist. It's a conspiracy theory and a cover up and they spend billions of dollars on...
Wait. What? 🤦🤪

Entwistle · 56-60, M
Its not a problem for the unscrupulous employers who hire them and pay them very low wages. Its not a problem for the landlords that house them 20 to a property.

We need to really get a handle on this:
