Yeah, so here is the problem with the whole "no collusion/collusion isn't against the law" canard...
Stepping back, it is telling that those defending the president are resorting to the narrowest of defenses—that even if the president obstructed justice, holding him accountable would be unconstitutional. In what is perhaps a reflection of the strength of the evidence that can now be marshaled against the president, his defenders have shifted the fight in large measure away from the merits of the obstruction case to a series of questionable defenses based upon the possible consequences of even a meritorious case. In many ways, the question has become less about whether there is a case that Donald J. Trump obstructed justice, and more about whether and in what form the rule of law will be followed.
It is becoming clearer that Trump has committed multiple crimes. The question is how long with Republicans stand united behind him at the expense of the nation.

@whowasthatmaskedman They have a copy of The Constitution of the United States there, as well as the U.S. Codes, especially Section 18. Makes for interesting reading, you might be surprised at what you would find there.

@SevIsPamprinYouAlways OMG would you look at Mueller’s laugh? It’s almost audible. 😂😂😂

@sunsporter1649 Did you buy it from a guy that was constantly bleating "no collusion! And there is nothing wrong with collusion anyway!"? Because in that case I'd like to question its provenance.
The notion that a public official cannot be charged with obstructing justice for actions that are within his or her public authority finds no support in the annals of American law.
Thanks for the link, Woody. Have you gotten into the report? Is it mammoth?

@hlpflwthat I'm going through it, but the report just adds footnotes to the main conclusions. Essentially, the problem with obstruction is that you have to prove intent, or the mindset of the individual.

They accomplish that here with a preponderance of evidence on actions that all point to the same motivation.

@WoodyAq 170 pages, but I think it'll go fast for folks who been following. I'll save it for Sat or Sun morning just the same. The table of contents reads like a roster of charges.
