Can't We Just Ignore Him For A While?

Let's be honest, Trump is an egomaniac. In fact I'd be willing to take it a step further and say he's a narcissist. And he's willing to say anything that will make him look good and bring him more attention. Whenever he takes a step outside the White House, a hundred cameras are engaged. Then reporters scramble to ask him questions that he may or may not give a true answer to.
Can't we just leave the man alone? If we did, for Trump that would be a fate worse than death.

Lol.... as lovely an idea as that is, the man is the President of the United States. He doesn’t get left alone for five seconds.
Astro · 56-60, M
No he would just do more and more stupid shit for attention.
Shutter · 51-55, M
@Astro Did you hear about the time about 20 years ago when Trump called a reporter at a major newspaper pretending to be his own publicist? He talked about how women wanted him so badly. She recorded the call. Trump tried to say it didn't sound like him. It was him. You're right @Astro. More stupid shit for attention.
Astro · 56-60, M
@Shutter that's how people like that operate. Spotlight isnt on them at all times they crack
lol it really would. But if this is the way he behaves when he's getting the attention he craves, imagine what he would do to act out!
You have to remember that we're dealing with a 13 year old in a grown man's body.

@Pikachu you give him too much credit:[

I think better, more stable minds would be all over that....
Maybe
????
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
Yes. People need to just get out of politics and stop wasting time wondering what Trump is saying every 5 seconds. I think for some people talking about Trump is their whole life. There's nothing else. He doesn't bother me because I pay it little to no attention. The world kept spinning with Obama and it will with him.
Shutter · 51-55, M
@ravenwind43 I think you're probably right. Probably but not certainly.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@Shutter Fair enough....my two cents anyway☺
I've had two kids, who, at the seemingly emotional age Trump is, would go batshit if you ignored them.

I like the idea of not humoring him by paying attention to him, but I don't really trust him alone in the house by himself when he's pissed off, looking for attention, and sitting with a book of matches.
Shutter · 51-55, M
@MistyCee Let's do like you'd do with your kids... get a babysitter. Oh that's right, he's got one. Called the chief of staff.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
There will always be Fox News. They are very loyal folks.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Shutter The Trumps are very clever. They won’t be indicted for any criminal activities no matter how criminal they are.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie They probably won't, but it's not because they are clever. They are basically arrogant dummies. It's for the reason the millionaire pedophile received special favours.
@SimplyTracie but thete is nowhere they can hide without being recognized and they won't have secret service protecting them forever either.
Trump was the only choice there was. He's doing as good a job as possible considering the unbelievable obstruction which is now going to be ten times worse.
I don't know why the left wants things to suck. It's just ridiculous to want things to suck!
@swirlie Yes. Millions and millions, and the are not snobby little city slicker hipsters either. They are truckers, farmers, ranchers, engineers, construction workers, roustabouts, miners, loggers, etc etc....
I'll put them up against a bunch of sociology and liberal arts majors and illegal immigrants any day!
swirlie · 31-35, F
@puck61

And after you do that, what you'll end up with at the end of the day, is a bunch of truckers, farmers, ranchers, engineers, construction workers, roustabouts, miners, loggers and etc's who all think and talk like you do! That's all! They offer nothing else except a reiteration of how your own mind thinks!

But is that a bad thing? Hell no! Not at all! All you will end up with however, is a collection of people who think like you do, which is what I've been telling you!
@swirlie That doesn't make any sense. You have to consider the context of the conversation. I'm just talking about people who don't have crazy ideas about sanctuary cities and lax immigration policies, and big government, extreme taxes, and weak law enforcement etc etc ..... Smart people .......Trump supporters.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
That would be a lovely thing. But we do have a rubber-necking car-crash mentality.
Shutter · 51-55, M
@Thodsis Well said. And it seems to be happening in slow motion.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
@Shutter Let's face it. There are a lot of people who just want to see the moment when the words "You're Fired" are uttered. That's why we keep watching the second series even though it's a bit repetitive and dull.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
President always has media follow him.
SW-User
I try to ignore him every day.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Trump is not a narcissist. Obama is a narcissist. Learn the difference. The rest of your comment is tainted by your mistake.
Unfortunately, a man with such an ego and the power to blow us off the map, might just do it to get attention. 😩
swirlie · 31-35, F
Donald Trump is the living story of Humpty Dumpty.
If it's all the same to you, I would like to stick around to see how his story ends.
Shutter · 51-55, M
@swirlie The sooner the better, maybe?
swirlie · 31-35, F
@Shutter

Would it be un-sporting of me to reveal to the studio audience, just 'how' it all ended for Humpty Dumpty?
swirlie · 31-35, F
NO, damnit! A thousand times, NO!
