There would be a national discussion about how to prevent homegrown Islamic terrorism.
Which begs the question ; Why isn't there one about preventing old white christian guys with extremist views having access to miltary grade weaponry ?

@RodionRomanovitch Armed guards would have been unlikely to help, since trained policemen were injured in the response. And who wants armed guards at their place of worship?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@windinhishair The NRA ?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@RodionRomanovitch Well, yes, perhaps, but I mean real Americans. lol

They would be joyfully wetting their pants as the talking point writers would be in overtime churning out the comments their zombie followers depend on to know what to say, think, and re-post.
And... there would be a new round of photo-shopped pics of the gutless and failing Baby-trump in Rambo and Captain America bodies regardless of the fat lump that moron-baby is really shaped like.

Republicans would have called the shooter a terrorist and called for a more stricter Muslim ban. And then there would be attacks on mosque and muslims from the right the following days after the shooting.

Hypocrisy is disgusting. :-(
EDIT: In my country since the new government (yuuuuuuuuu!) fascist people thinks they're allowed to kill black people etc, and every time our governor says "that wasn't fascist, he was just a crazy guy" (while smiling secretly... Not even so secretly actually)

The "president" would be all over it, warning that we were being attacked by islamic terrorists and need to start rounding them up immediately.

You mean like the Iranian nationalist that shot up Youtube? Or the San Bernadino couple that killed 14 people?
Yah, glad that never happens.

And you might not have said it that she was a Muslim, but you brought her out in response to a post
Yes I did, but I didn't say she was Muslim. I brought her up because this should have been a well examined case considering her background, her mental issues, and particularly her gender, yet this case barely made a ripple in the public discourse.
Yet when it is a white male, which fits the narrative there is a national outcry and you have people like this poster taking the story and using it to justify and promote his worldview.
And there is no hypocrisy in the OP
Disagree. See my comment above. I agree that Republicans response to shootings leaves a lot to be desired, however same goes for Democrats.
Left wing terrorism barely exists in US these days,
Yeah right, I would say it gets under reported or classified as "right wing" even if the shooters motives are complicated or unclear. There is plenty of left wing terrorism going on these days, however, you seem to be unaware.

@SumKindaMunster It didn’t make a ripple because the woman was obviously crazy, and her craziness had zero political component. She was mad at YouTube policies. That’s pretty out there, but just not enough meat on the story to keep it going.
Left wing terrorism used to be a more common thing, but since the 80s, it’s barely ticking over.
When it does happen, people do have a field day with it - which is why people mention the Bernie shooter fifty times a day.
“Complicated” motives are usually left unresolved - like they are for the incel terrorists. Who are, let’s face it, pretty solidly right if you ever take a peek in their spaces - but their ideology is distinct enough where people prefer to separate them. Can’t say I’ve seen a single political shooting by a left winger that’s attributed to the right wing.

That doesn't refute my point. She was quite unique, I don't recall the last time we had a woman shooter, but again this is not the narrative of a crazed white male with an assault weapon so it was dropped.
I don't accept data from the ADL, or the Southern Law Poverty Center as unbiased sources regarding political violence.
As previously stated political violence on the left is overlooked, underreported or misclassified and these organizations are a big part of why that happens.
