is anyone else kinda getting tired of the "me too" stuff?

I mean what woman hasn't occasionally used her ways to get something from a man? how many traffic tickets have I gotten out of by unbuttoning just one button? so many Fridays I got to go home early by a little harmless teasing of the boss? women are acting like it is the end of the world because when they were in hs, some guy touched thier boob. cmon everbody.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M Best Comment
I completely agree. We all did things of some sexual nature in HS and college to attract someone or looking for a date or whatever. Those are experimental times and we learned lots of lessons then also. But this me too movement has gotten out of hand just to gain attention or financial gain or to ruin someone's life.

jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Is it mainly the ugly fat ones doing the whining?
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
I disagree with you.

Most of us DO NOT use our bodies to get out of traffic tickets-tears might be a different story.

Most of us DO NOT flirt with the boss (mine’s a girl anyway) to get to leave work early.

Most of us DO NOT just want some random stranger to touch us in intimate places, that is sexual assault.

Most of us just want to be treated with respect, NOT because we are women, but because we are human beings.

I have been a victim of unwanted sexual advances, and MOST of the men were respectful enough to stop. A few have been more brazen and that just isn’t something to turn a blind eye to.

#metoo

Like all things that are meant to be for real victims, it ends up becoming a joke because everyone and their grandmother decided to join it.
@SW-User Indeed, the amount of people crying "oppression" in 2018 has maybe 10% who really are in that situation. The rest are just idiots with nothing better to do. And now the entire group gets a bad reputation because of the assholes and the real victims' pleas go unheard in the sea of bullshit.
SW-User
@Solenya Correct.
SW-User
This is your first post on here. Can’t say you’re a credible “woman”.
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
@SW-User when you were in high school. did you ever make out with a guy? did it ever happen that he tried to have sex with you and you said no and it took you a minute to convince him you really didn't want to? fyi it is a UNIVERSAL EXPERIENCE!
@vacationgirl im super glad youre gone
Fernie · F
gawd you are thick!!!! I'm not even going to respond to your sickening post. Traitor!!!!!! 'm blocking you because I can't slap some sense into you and I sure don't want to be subjected to your ignorance...you're on the side of the molesters and rapists. You are most likely male anyway
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
@chrisCA exactly. its real life. get over it.
chrisCA · M
@vacationgirl Real life, but it does not make it acceptable.

@Fernie
I'm not even going to respond to your sickening post.

K....🙄

Oh so apparently I am blocked due to this comment. Bye again crazy Ostrich lady!
It’s gone overboard. I’m sick of it.
Yep. I'm tired that they have no proof and they didn't come forward at the time. At 19 I was forced I understand the reason they didn't come forward at the time but a lot of these woman are taking money. It makes them look opportunistic.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
@Mondayschild Absolutely it does. An opportunity to gain money or ruin someone's life. Such sad women who do that. But we all now it's political and they're probably getting paid to do it

Not every woman is a skank, speak for yourself

@MrsKatherineArch Precisely.

@DEEfiant you never got out of a ticket?
Graylight · 51-55, F
I'm going to assume you're a troll because it's better than the kind of woman who'd get out of traffic tickets by unbuttoning your shirt or leaving work early after you teased the boss. You are one of the reasons there's a MeToo movement needed.

No, many of us aren't tired of the MeToo movement because it's not about a guy leaning in too close at work. It's about rape, assault, the systematic harassment and sexualization of women. It's about teaching young girls they don't have to tease and use their bodies to placate men or get their way.

If you're not a troll and truly don't understand this, I wish you well and I wish you safety.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
Sorry,@Graylight I think most of us don't agree with you at all. You have the wrong idea about the me too movement.
And good for you 'vacationgirl'... Us men still love all those trival cute things you do to us
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Midlifemale There's flirting and then there's inappropriate behavior. If the difference needs to be explained, we have a problem on our hands.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@vacationgirl How's it different? What's the cut-off? A girl molested at 12 would be 47 given your example. And here you are saying some who reports it 35 wars later shouldn't even bother.
DEEfiant · 26-30, F
Looks like we have ANOTHER troll.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Then stop trolling lol 😲 @DEEfiant
CoffeeFirst · 56-60, F
Do not discount other's experiences due to your own. That's not fair. We are talking about UNWANTED sexual advances. I hope the men in our lives are realizing how prevalent this is, due to stories from their family and friends.
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
I know. A guy from real life said I was gorgeous and thought that it might of been out of line. I’m gobsmacked.
polyandrym66 · 70-79, M
@Midlifemale Interesting to hear this from you. I'm retired now, and not in the thick of it, so I have no inside corporate first hand knowledge.. Sounds like the wagons are being drawn into a tight circle for protection...
What I see, on the TV news, is that soon there will not be any men left (except for gay men) in the news at all. All woman commentators and hosts and interviewee's (some with their own corporate ladder climbing skeletons), but better cloaked than the good-old-boy network..
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
It’s going to be a depressing world soon even more so. @polyandrym66

I believe of course those that abused women for their own thrills is wrong but your exactly right, lots of women use their charms to get what they want from men. as much as I support the metoo movement I do not agree with how far it has now gone, men now can't even wink at someone anymore, lol
SW-User
@Midlifemale a possiblilty in some jobs but some like actors it just can't be done. I think it has just made it hard to even flirt now. I find that a sad state we are in now
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
@Midlifemale I am a woman and I wouldn't hire a woman. the lawsuit would be against the company, not the individual that did the harassing. that would put a small company out of business.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
Good point to my comment. I have been listening to execs who have said that same thing. The 'mee too' movement makes them think twice about hiring a woman
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Like all social movements in America, it had its merits, but now it has been co-opted by liars, fakers and scammers so it has outlived its usefulness.
Graylight · 51-55, F
You are the poster child for Why Women Need to be Empowered.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Graylight
Why sacrifice the many for the wrongs of a few?

This is why you have to be careful when these movements start, because that's exactly what happened here. It was beneficial at first, but again got co-opted by liars and scammers and once that happens, the legitimacy of the movement is over.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Graylight Probably not even a female hun!!
Northwest · M
Unbuttoning your top, and "teasing" the boss (whatever that means), may work for you, but what you're trying to do, is judge women, who see themselves as equal, and are not willing to degrade themselves, for an extra hour off on Friday.

You make it sound as if #MeToo is about HS foreplay. It's not. It's about rape and sexual assault. I'm sure some are taking advantage of it, so stop telling those with a legitimate case to "cmon everyone".

It's also not just about you. It's about the other women in the office, and what the boos will be expecting them to do, for an hour off on Friday. But it's all harmless teasing, right?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
So says the expert on all things woman lol

I noticed you posted this bullshit right after this.

Triggered? You're nothing more than a troll.
CoolInferno · 31-35, M
Well said, if they felt it bad, they SHLD have stood against it at that time itself...

Not after so many years..
SW-User
I definitely appreciate when a woman like you acts like a whore!
CharlesJC · 56-60, M
Your first post. I'm not suspicious at all.
katielass · F
Tired of it? I'm tired of the fake outrage. A man should not be allowed to abuse a woman in any way, shape or form and get away with it BUT a man is innocent until proved guilty. Women do not deserve to be believed just on their word.

I think it’s a big difference between flirting, and touching someone without their approval?
Brutalbastard · 41-45, M
It is so refreshing to hear a woman say that.
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
You got a good point there. But this movement is just one of many anymore in this new PC and SJW world we live in. People don’t know how to laugh at ourselves anymore. It saddens me to see the road we are going going down. People are going to become afraid to even interact with each other any more.

But if you were a willing participant that is one thing, if a man did something to you that you didn't want or enjoy, is that okay?
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 definitely not. you should totally fight or call the police immediately
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@vacationgirl I am.so glad that you qualified your statement.

Just look at the comments it attracted from men who do not respect women.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
How about snapchats that disappear in one second before the lady can screenshot?
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
@jackjjackson it tells them when you screenshot. Snapchat is good but crap at the same time.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
This is so much fun reading all the ridiculous comments. I for one would let you out of a ticket and let you go home early on Fridays... lol
SW-User
Hmmm, controversial !! But I like the idea of a woman using her body to get what she wants xx
Steveinlandsea · 51-55, M
I couldn't agree more! I think its gone way above and beyond now and has become a complete joke
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Wouldn’t I technically be harrassing women if I did these types of favors for them? 😲

@GeorgeandGina The me-too movement isn't founded on sexual banter and flirtation. It's founded on sexual assault and intimidation. It's not about using one's feminine wiles or being surprised that a man comes on to her. It's about the moments after you say no and the non-consensual behavior to which you are subjected.
