His body language pretty much told us all we need to know. He's not judge material. NEXT...

@jackjjackson Makes you wonder just why Trump picked him , even after McConnell's warnings.

It does make Kav look like an idiot.
Matt Damon did an excellent job.
I don’t blame you of.being afraid to watch it.
It attacks everything you believe.

@Aliveshock Well it's designed to do that, that's why it's written the way it is. Matt is a good actor, but just a actor. Never been afraid to watch it, just a old and kinda outdated program, it started in the 1970's. I'm not sure how you know what I believe in, do we know one another???

Take a polygraph...don't take a polygraph. The tool simply measures bodily reactions to questions asked - heart rate, blood pressure, etc. They are not reliable enough to actually be considered "lie detector tests" which is why a polygraph is not permissible in court as evidence.
Kavanaugh immediately volunteered to testify before congress. He gave his testimony. And Dr. Ford gave hers - though she can't remember where/when or apparently who. She did change her story a bit. There is no forensic evidence and no corroborating witnesses.
But wait - there's more - two more accusers come forward. My fav is none other than Avenatti's client Julie Swetnick - now, there is someone who is totally not credible. Her story was immediately suspect given her attorney also happens to represent Stormy Daniels. Dems didn't think this one through (no surprise there). Swetnick is older than Kavanaugh - so she would have been in college when Brett was gettin' down with the chain rape parties in high school - LOL! Which means she was an adult, and he was a minor - uh oh - who raped who then? And she attended several of these parties? The only thing she remembers is of Kavanaugh handing out red Solo cups. You couldn't make this shit up in a movie and expect people to buy tickets.
Ford was on thin ice to begin with. Ramirez and Swetnick hurt - not helped - the left's mission to destroy Kavanaugh. So now the tactic is to make Kavanaugh sound like a drunk who gets into fights (he threw ice - OMG, the horrors) and doesn't have the emotional fortitude to sit on the SCOTUS.
This is a huge circus bankrolled by none other than your uber leftist George Soros.
Bottom line...the 7th FBI investigation into Kavanaugh will not reveal anything more. Dems will continue their character assassination of Kavanaugh wanting to delay, delay, delay. The Senate will vote soon. Possibly as early as Friday. My guess is Kavanaugh gets 55 votes in favor. And he'll be the next Supreme Court Justice.

To be honest, I don't think he could pass one even when he's telling the truth.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Xuan12 The guy's a fucking wreck , there's no way on earth he should be any kind of a judge.
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
First polygraphs are not dependable. Second we should not set a precedent that judges have to take polygraphs. Third if he did maybe Ford would coach him because evidently she has coached people to cheat them in the past.
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
They don’t bother with truth.@jackjjackson
WoodyAq · M
@jackjjackson Only in the sense that Snopes set up a straw man to knock down.
Nobody is claiming, as snopes is claiming they are claiming, that Kavanaugh said polygraphs can "be taken as gospel" - only that they are widely used investigative tool that have value. Which is what Kavanaugh did write.

I would never take one. Why would I put myself at any unnecessary risk when
A lot of evidence of unreliability
Not recognized by courts
Confusing as to what results actually mean
Results aren’t black and white subject to examiners interpretation
Cannot be legally required
There is nothing good for me and only incorrect bad

Since this is not a court of law and only a job interview, its a fair question ask why he has not done so to add to his credibility, an important factor here.
WoodyAq · M
@whowasthatmaskedman In fairness to him, it is not without risk, even if he is innocent.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Agreed. But in the job interview situation, his failure to take the polygraph just makes him look bad. Its politics, pure and simple. like this whole affair. It would be best to throw up another candidate. But they wont.@WoodyAq
OggggO · 36-40, M
I have no love for Kavanaugh, but polygraphs are worthless.
WoodyAq · M
@AnneHoney In a 2016 written opinion on a case, Kavanaugh said:
As the Government notes, law enforcement agencies use polygraphs to test the credibility of witnesses and criminal defendants. Those agencies also use polygraphs to “screen applicants for security clearances so that they may be deemed suitable for work in critical law enforcement, defense, and intelligence collection roles.”
The Government has satisfactorily explained how polygraph examinations serve law enforcement purposes.
There is really no reason for him to risk it.
SW-User
No. He has already shown everyone his true nature.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
What's the point in it???
WoodyAq · M
@nudistsueaz If he failed it would sink him. I don't think it is a sham, though. But it is certainly 99% politics.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@WoodyAq Makes no difference at all now. Congrats to Kavanaugh.
WoodyAq · M
@nudistsueaz It makes some difference. It would have helped remove one of the asterisks next to his decisions.

Polygraphs can be beaten and the science behind it is kinda "meh"..which is why its never used in court
