How STUPID And RACIST Is "Cultural Appropriation"?

Is it "cultural appropriation when black actors play the part of white Founders of the United States like in the painfully stupid musical "Madison"? Would it be "cultural appropriation" for a black man to play James Bond when Ian Fleming created him white? Does cultural appropriation mean NO black or Asian actor can play ANY of Shakespeare's lead characters, because they were all white, and can only Jews play Shylock?

Africans did not invent the violin and Asians did not invent the piano - should ALL blacks and Asians who play in classical symphonies be accused of cultural appropriation and be banned? In fact symphonies and the tone poems themselves were created by white Europeans; should an American Indian be prevented from ever conducting one at a concert?

Careful what you wish for Social Justice Maniacs...you might just get what you demand.

Way to tell them. For sure.

And by stating that these things belong to a certain ethnicity they basically say that we are not one people
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand ABSOLUTELY! It denies us our common humanity and sets us tribe against tribe. That is what our masters living in their fortress palaces in New York and London and Geneva want
katielass · F
This left wing garbage will have very negative consequences if it's allowed to proceed. In a few years the left will be saying damn those repubs for dividing everyone into little groups and not allowing them to integrate. I guarantee it. It's what they always do. They get a wild hair up their ass, devise a plan, insist on implementing it and when it hits the fan they stand there and, without shame, blame the very ones who warned it was a bad idea. I'll give you a couple examples. One, and most won't remember this cause they weren't alive in the late 70's but the left fought very hard having temper tantrums i order to get the dangerously mentally ill let out of mental hospitals because they "deserved to be free". Well, that backfired. Can't put the genie back in that bottle. Another example was the left's crusade against competition. OMH there had to be a loser, how dare we teach kids that sometimes they might lose in life. Now look what we have, morons who get violent if they don't "win" their way.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@katielass Their focus appears so trivial but it never is. It is just insidious
katielass · F
@Abrienda Well the bigger picture is the ones pulling their strings want an uneducated, unable to think for themselves, mediocre population. That is so much easier to control. And when I say uneducated, I mean uneducated to the historical realities, uneducated to real critical thinking. Regurgitating what you've been indoctrinated with is not educated and it's not critical thinking on display. It's robot like.
UnlikeableAndy · 36-40, M
African Americans pretty much invented jazz and thus modern music.
go hang out with your KKK somewhere else
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@katielass That's right she DID say that! Might want to take a look at the trap I set that dim watt Kalikali who like the sheep she is walked right into it
katielass · F
@Abrienda I blocked her. I made a nice post to honour our veterans and she inserted something political that had nothing to do with veterans day. I politely asked her to stop and she kept on and kept on posting terrible things about our vets until I removed her post and blocked her. I heard she was telling a different story but my comments were not deleted and they support my side.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@UnlikeableAndy What do blacks "inventing" jazz have to do with anything? aLright...is a Japanese jazz musician engaged in cultural appropriation? Is a Mexican owner/chef of a Chinese restaurant in New York engaged in cultural appropriation too? Is the city of NEW YORK also engaged in cultural appropriation? THAT is the question, dumbo, which you fail to understand and don't dare answer or it would make you look even more foolish than you already look. As for the Klan it is YOU who is making the racist argument, not me...and they would not admit me, being as I am of mixed race myself. How silly do you feel now? I am sure you are used to that feeling by now.
DanielChristensen · 46-50, M
Well said. Cultural segregation seems more of an accurate term when you begin to dissect influences. We're all living a human experience and as our capabilities expand, our cultures merge.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@DanielChristensen Thank you. The ruling elites and their water carriers like Kalikali want us at each other's throats- simple divide and conquer.
No such thing as social justice anything. It gets old after awhile listening to people bitch about "social justice warriors" as though that's a thing.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@MsAnnThropy No it is a TITLE...like "Child Molester", "Gang Member" or "Elite Snob Without A Good Reply"... are those not things? Is English your first language or is that just the best you can come up with?

Go back to your "I Hate Trump" basement party and leave the adults alone, good?

I'm confused by what you think cultural appropriation is.
But you know that Depp was trashed for cultural appropriation yes?
He was definitely trashed for doing the role, as he should have. I don't know of anyone calling it cultural appropriation though, and I certainly wouldn't. There are more reasons to criticize a white person for playing a person of color.
So a Mexican who opens an Italian restaurant is also guilty of cultural appropriation? Or a black man a Chinese restaurant?
Maybe.
Of course all Italians are appropriating Chinese culture when they sell pasta because we "know" it was n vented in China right?
Are you not reading my responses or what?
Soooo...Indian girls named "Mary" are culturally appropriating?
Probably.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@SW-User Just go away please? You are uncultured, ignorant and bore me...and not just me.
SW-User
xD

Re: dreadlocks. European cultures had dreadlocks too, but ask yourself, are the white people wearing dreadlocks today dressed like those cultures or does their clothing look more like something from black culture?
Cultural appropriation is one of the stupidest things ever.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Challenger1 Yes...history seen through racist-colored glasses.
@Abrienda Well much of history was racist, there has been a lot of racism on every side of the fence. It is complete nonsense that only white people can be racist or only women can be sexist. The idea that a culture exclusively owns what they create is kind of silly too. We are all influenced by ideas and arts that we see and experience. Nobody is saying that hamburgers are only for the western world or that burritos only belong in mexico.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Challenger1 As woman born of the joining of two different races I certainly agree and know that.
Karlbodge · 22-25, M
Hey I just thought of another one. When those chicks did Ghostbusters it was like reverse racism but for Gender. They are hating on our sausage fest.
Karlbodge · 22-25, M
@Abrienda I heard that Saudi is the no.1 exporter of PC Marxism. I wonder why didn't Trump hit them with his travel ban. Anyone who lives there is a terrorist suspect and we should ban them. No offense to you btw.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
None taken - I am not Saudi nor a Moslem. The Left thinks it can use Moslems as foot soldiers to destroy the West but if they do they will eat them alive.
Karlbodge · 22-25, M
@Abrienda I just don't get why most people don't realize that. In America only Breitbart readers realize that. Everyone else says its a nuts conspiracy theory because they have been brainwashed into submission by the Corporate Marxist Media. They have confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance.
NewBeginning · 22-25, M
Ayyyy thus girl gets it! Cultures around the world are just an amalgamation of influences from other cultures. It's true for most cultures in my experience!
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@NewBeginning Of course. The basis of all cultures is there but then those things from others which are sympathetic or useful are taken on and beocme their - the Christmas tress being a perfect example of that.

Taken from pagan Germans should I as a Catholic feel guilty of "cultural appropriation: cause I have one every year? And what should I do about it to assuage my guilt? Contribute to a pagan charity? Sacrifice a goat? Or just do without a tree? And WHAT A STUPID MORON I WOULD BE IF I EVER HAVE THIS CONVERSATION WITH MY FUTURE CHILDREN!
bookerdana · M
Do you mean "Hamilton " the critically acclaimed musical that won 12 Tony Awards,a Grammy and A Pulitzer Prize...that stupid musical?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
😂There!
bookerdana · M
@Abrienda Does seem like a glorified electric pole bbut I'd love to see the Louvre
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@bookerdana Hahahah! I have been to the Prado (Madrid I think?) and every museum in Vienna and Prague I think (those are in Bulgaria, right?) but no others. I did nothing much in New York cause I got sick. The Paris I would like to have visited and lived in would have been that of Napoleon III and part of the demimondaine. Today not so much.
FearfulHarmony49 · 22-25, T
God bless you <3
Karlbodge · 22-25, M
I don't get it. If a Native American eats a Big Mac, is that cultural appropriation?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Karlbodge YES! Even more if EITHER of them eat French Fries - Pomme Frites! But if you don't believe me there is someone here who thinks only Mexicans should run Mexican restaurants or else it is cultural appropriation...and being an SJW she is the expert!
Karlbodge · 22-25, M
@Abrienda I remember being told that we called them Freedom Fries after 9/11. Is that cultural appropriation?

Sorry for the questions but you seem real smart and I am real confused. I might not wanna eat Mexican food if it's been appropriated by Mexicans.
