How STUPID And RACIST Is "Cultural Appropriation"?

Is it "cultural appropriation when black actors play the part of white Founders of the United States like in the painfully stupid musical "Madison"? Would it be "cultural appropriation" for a black man to play James Bond when Ian Fleming created him white? Does cultural appropriation mean NO black or Asian actor can play ANY of Shakespeare's lead characters, because they were all white, and can only Jews play Shylock?

Africans did not invent the violin and Asians did not invent the piano - should ALL blacks and Asians who play in classical symphonies be accused of cultural appropriation and be banned? In fact symphonies and the tone poems themselves were created by white Europeans; should an American Indian be prevented from ever conducting one at a concert?

Careful what you wish for Social Justice Maniacs...you might just get what you demand.

Yes I am because unlike you I can make my own judgements and not wait for others to tell me what is good or bad. Being a free person not a herd animal like others, it allows me to do that.

By the way...ever hear of "Mein Kampf" or "Birth of A Nation?" THEY were critically acclaimed at the time also so I guess you would have gone right along with that cause you always look to your betters to tell you what you should subjectively like.

Oh,I don't care if you like it and I think eveyone ought to see Birth of a Nation and read Mein Kemp..are you comparing this musical to Mein Kemp,though? Although the latter was given free to every newlywed couple and every soldier fighting at the front it never won a Pulitzer😜!

@bookerdana No and you KNOW I am not comparing them...and anyone who is also being intellectually honest knows I would approve of neither. I am comparing your apparent belief that because something is "critically acclaimed" by people nether you nor I know I should bow to their opinion on completely subjective matters. Woody Allen destroyed that whole ovine idea before I was even born in I think "Annie Hall" when his character says referring to the Oscars "BEST movie...BEST actor...BEST Fascist Dictator!"

ACTUALLY had everyone in Nazi Germany NOT gotten a free copy of Mein Kampf they might have won the war!

@bookerdana Gee...I wonder if it was the ticket my godfather bought me so I could see it with him and his family? Not easy to get but then as I can't see to get you to acknowledge, popularity does not equal quality.

I might add I don't need to go to ROME to "see" the Sistine Chapel to know it a work of genius.

@bookerdana Hahahah! I have been to the Prado (Madrid I think?) and every museum in Vienna and Prague I think (those are in Bulgaria, right?) but no others. I did nothing much in New York cause I got sick. The Paris I would like to have visited and lived in would have been that of Napoleon III and part of the demimondaine. Today not so much.
