Yes, someday, I would love to do the entire length of historic Route 66' much of the old neon lighting remains intact as does the 1950's style store frontage. Also, don't forget the famous "Wall Drug" In the 60's there were road signs in places like Vietnam that read "Xthousand miles to Wall Drug"
@bijouxbroussard Exactly the kind of bus we had. I got to see the "Indie 500" racetrack, Wassons Dept.store (similar to Macy's) where my dads mom worked after she sold her Deli store. She was an elegant woman but ended-up with pre-senile dementia and started selling Wassons dresses door to door for a buck or two. Funny but also sad.

Yes. I have a book of all the old photos of our city and gave it to my dad who was very elderly and would remember the photos as they really were irl. When he passed it was one of the things I really wanted to keep. I think they are so interesting.
