Do you like being on your roof?

I love getting different viewpoints once in a while.

@Bexsy And I have an old fashioned Tv antannae that I use to climb up; built in ladder!
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@Bexsy thats me too Becks....but as a dare as a kid i jumped off a single story roof of a house. I thought i could fly.....but, as it turns out, no. I plummeted and landed in a rosebush!! 😝😂
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Bexsy plus its a bungalow
WillaKissing · 56-60
Nope not at all, too steep and high off of the ground for me and my roof.

WillaKissing · 56-60
@JimboSaturn Exactly and why I went with 40-year metal and had the Amish do it.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@WillaKissing Metal roofs are awesome
WillaKissing · 56-60
@JimboSaturn I love the sound of the rain off of one, it puts me right to sleep. I will look up at this insulted metal on the outside roof and just kick back and sleep.

Heck with the timber and beams I could hang me a hammock up inside too.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@JimboSaturn maybe two crutches instead of one
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@MarineBob So true my friend
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
@badminton Neighborhood watch!!
I have a fire escape that goes up to the roof, and when I first moved into that building the resident manager then had a couple of chairs where we would sit and look at the moon. But that was a long time ago, he passed away, new owners bought the building, renovated the roof and asked people not to go up there. I was fine with that, I’m leery around heights, anyway.
@bijouxbroussard i am sometimes leary of heights. It depends. Cliffside edges..climbing down I found out really quick I had a problem with.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Bexsy My wife has a phobia of heights
Certainly not. I haven't cleaned my eavestroughs this year even. I would rather climb a tree if I could or view the world from hills or mountains. My mind takes me to safer heights. The dunes locally are rather steep and challenging. I want a mountain!
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I'm not sure if I could even get there. Even if, I'd have to get over my fear of heights first. But I can go on my grandmother's roof. Well, the last time I went I felt something like a panic attack building so...either I should do it more often or rather avoid.
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@jimbosaturn] 😄 maybe you would get a lovely birds eye view of your surrounding but i catergarically hate heights
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
We used to climb up my friend's house roof in the village when we were kids, it's so much fun.
I love to climb. Rocks, trees, dunes, towers… Always love a new perspective.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@BrokenAbyss me to!
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Easy there we are as young as we used to be
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@MarineBob Ok Dad! 😋
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I don't have the head for heights for climbing onto my roof!

Yes, I do enjoy higher viewpoints, and even standing on a box about a foot high greatly broadens the view from my upstairs windows, by raising me slightly above the adjacent street's roof-line. I'd considered making a small platform in front of the window, for that purpose.
calicuz · 51-55, M
I used to, but now that I'm afraid I'd fall off.
Lostpoet · M
That's how we played as kids.
Allelse · 36-40, M
No, being up high is scary and I get yelled at by my wife, I get "YOU'RE A FUCKING EPILEPTIC!!!! GET THE FUCK DOWN YOU MORON!!!". So I stay on the ground.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Working on wiring and plumbing inside then I will finish the interior and add windows. Sealed tight for weather right now.
Whenever I have to do something up there I do end up spending a little time admiring the view.
TrashCat · M
That's a mighty fine looking roof you have there. Mine is flat and needs to be replaced. LOL
Madgirl · 26-30, F
roofs here are a lot steeper... you would fall down if you went up on a roof
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Not at all, not even when I was young and could balance decently.
Elessar · 26-30, M
Technically not mine, but technicalities aside I'd say so 😇

Not on super windy and torrential rainy days, or big time snowy days.
Indy74 · 46-50, F
High on life....😀
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Indy74 Even moving a chair to a different spot once in a while
