Snapshot Of History

This may not be black and white but I'm pretty sure this isn't happening much anymore. You hardly if ever see a group of young boys playing outside like this picture shows from the 70’s.

That picture looks just like me and my brothers and neighbor kids when we would play with our metal cars in the dirt in the back yard. Most of us had crew-cuts like that and those striped t-shirts.
We never cared of how much of a mess we made. The back yard was our paradise of play. We had a metal swing set that would almost tip over when we all were swinging on it. Then jump on our bikes and off we'd go down the street.
We would play stick ball or curb ball in the street.....so much innocent and safe fun back then

@ThickMadame 🤔yes that brings back memories as a small kid the street i was in had two areas of grass and there was a shallow hole in one us boys used to play with our dinkies [ lol they where cars by the way not a euphomism ] that picture brought back happy times

I got into so much trouble when my cousin and I managed to dig up the macadam in the road which went past our house.

@silkydrawers I used to play dress up with my husband in our early years. but over time we just stop doing it

extinct...thanks to air condition, video games and internet
