Are you upgrading to Windows 11 or sticking with 10 or going to something like Linux?

Win 11 requires hardware to support TPM (Trusted Platform Manager) 2.0 which renders almost all current hardware older than about 5 yrs or so redundant in terms of being able to upgrade to Windows 11.

TPMs are rather ubiquitous actually (definitely for more than 5yrs, maybe 10yrs ago they were harder to find), it's the restrictions on processors the thing that makes a lot of older hardware incompatible
