How often do you charge your phone?

Top | New | Old
Although I could, based upon what he's done, I have been quite lenient with him thus far, and have not pressed any...

@SW-User Glad I gave you a laugh.
SW-User
@SomeMichGuy thanks :)
Usually I put it on charge once a day while I’m watching tv to let it charge to about 95 percent. I then put it on charge again in the early hours of the morning if I wake up, as I listen to sleep sounds on YouTube which sometimes drains a lot of battery.
SW-User
@Gingerbreadspice I thought about getting one of those sleep sounds apps on my phone but then I realized it would probably drain my battery like crazy
@SW-User Apps most definitely use a lot of battery. Tiktok live is the worst.

I've never really thought about it, but probably about once or twice a week, as necessary.

Like anything else I have that is rechargeable, I don't leave it on charge overnight or when I am out, but so I can keep an eye on it and switch the charger off reasonably promptly.
At least once a day. Sometimes twice a day. I use my phone for work so it gets a lot of use.
Whenever I don't use it, it's not full, and I have a charger within reach.

@Malai is that like once a week? 😜
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Malai You do? The question was actually charge, not change, but never mind! :-)
SW-User

HumanEarth · F
No issues
QueenOfTheNerds · 46-50, F
Every night while I sleep.
SW-User
@QueenOfTheNerds I charge it when it gets low and that’s about every other day and it’s at random times lol. I always heard you shouldn’t charge it until the battery is dead
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@SW-User That was the case with certain type of cell, especially Ni-Cd ones, but I don't think the ones now used in 'phones need that.

I am not sure myself, but it a question like that is best asked of a phone or electronics supplier, or examining the instructions (if any are published!), though rather than using "always heard".
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@QueenOfTheNerds Not "everyone", and anyway that's a not a reason.

Why waste electricity by keeping anything on charge for several hours beyond necessary? (Same with so-called "stand-by" or "sleep" settings on computers and TVs.)
Frostcloud · F
maybe once overnight
SW-User
@Frostcloud every night?
Frostcloud · F
@SW-User most nights

How about you ?
SW-User

JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
