Do you ever get the urge to take a sledgehammer and bash your cellphone to release the vice-like grip it has on your conscious reality?

Or in a less melodramatic move… What about a “Light Phone”? No apps. No internet. Just messages and phone? I think it might be healthier for our brain.

@CrystalSkull thanks for BA.

There is no life to be lived on an electronic device. That isn't really communication. I have a cheap crummy flip phone that sits on the shelf by my bed where a real phone would be. I only take it with me if I'm expecting a call and I'm almost never expecting one.

I frequently exercise my urge to bash the power off button and release myself from the grip of said tyranny

No. Because I don't blame others, especially not inanimate objects for my own choices.

@twistedrope If you read the part where I said "in a less melodramatic move", you'd realize this was sarcasm and me seriously contemplating smashing my cell phone with a sledgehammer. But nice blanket assumptions about a person you don't remotely know based on a post you barely read. 👍

@brokensignal I have no idea what you're saying. I explained my point of view and my feelings on the matter. Everything else you're saying here is not my issue.
