At the end of the day I don’t think the smart phone is a healthy invention.

What’s your take on that?

Being 'connected' detracts from real connectivity.

And that is also true. It has changed the way we view relationships now. We don’t bother to try and interact with people face to face no more. It’s like real life in the virtual world and the real world is just an accessory@MissPerfect

@eMortal I'd be annoyed if I invited someone over and they ignored me to chat on their phone.

It’s extremely convenient and helpful, but it’s not healthy on several levels.
It can be really unhealthy but everything in moderation is the best way
eMortal · M
How do you get moderate when you have all these addictive apps combined and delivered on that little box for free!? @SlippingAway
@eMortal I don't use too many apps and I put my phone out of reach often when I want to focus on something. I know some people are more addicted than me

Nothing wrong with the invention but how shall I put this? Got it.

Smart phone, master of dumb people!
Dino11 · M
A quite powerful tool, if used correctly.
eMortal · M
True indeed @Dino11

It simply depends on the use you give it

So, smoke signals?
It has its advantages, but unfortunately no "smart” device can overcome determined human stupidity. 😳
eMortal · M
But it’s so easy and tempting to just check the last notification before you leave or go to sleep! It’s a very addictive device @bijouxbroussard

Neither is fast food for that matter
eMortal · M
Yup. Manufactured problems. @DDonde

I have no problem with it, just as long as I don't set the alarm.
