Not too difficult. That’s a push button phone. It’s not actually a true rotary dial like the phone I grew up with.

@Khenpal1 hardly. I was born in 1977 it was actually pretty easy. Dialing the 0 got you the operator as 9-1-1 emergency wasn’t yet invented.

You actually could not be more incorrect. You have a very poor idea of what was reality in the USA as far as phones and this post go, you’re entirely incorrect !



In the early 1950s no one could make a direct call themselves. Calls had to be made with the assistance of a telephone operator. A person wishing to make a call would pick up the handset on their phone and wait for the operator to answer.
