Battery is damaged.. the last time that happened to me was years ago with an iPhone 4s after using it outside in very cold weather.

Sounds like you need to replace the battery. Happened to me with several phones and my son’s old one.

@MellyMel22 i can't because my phone isn't officially sold here by Samsung and most phones since like 2015 have the back cover fully sealed up

@uikakarotuevegeta I’m not sure if you or someone you know is good with repairs, I’ve changed a couple of batteries out on iPhones(you have to take apart some things to get to it) and it solved the problem. Though I’m not sure if you’re saying that you can’t get the actual battery somehow 😞

@MellyMel22 the parts for my phone aren't available here, except the screen for some odd reason. And even then, only 1 repair shop nearby was able to fix it, as most didn't even support my phone.

Make sure location and wi fi are turned off. Those are big drains but shouldn't be THAT bad
Unless something cr4zy happened, the battery is not even three years old and should be fine.

@uikakarotuevegeta I wouldn't think a phone or battery that new would have any problems unless it were dropped in water, subject to extreme temperatures for a long time, OR if it had some kind of virus.
I am no phone expert. If you think your phone is about to quit, make sure and back up everything so it doesn't just get lost.

@HoeBag well I did break the screen and had it repaired twice, and both times the repairman didn't fully seal the case so maybe some water got in and damaged the battery?
Besides after 2-3 years, it's expected for mid range and budget Android phones to start showing defects unfortunately. Unlike iPhones and Google Pixels that only have problems 4-5 years later.

@uikakarotuevegeta It is probably time for a new one if your present one has been fixed a couple times.
Once anything has had any repairs other than routine maintenance, it is often just not the same.
With my phone, I of course have a case and a screen protector, and I never download the updates. Often times, updates just screw things up.

That sounds kind of weird

When did you buy it? Check open apps to see if any are active in the background drawing energy.

You need a new battery
uikakarotuevegeta · 26-30, M
@JimboSaturn sadly all these phones in the last like decade can't have the battery or other internal components removed by the customer, and also the Galaxy A34 5G was never officially sold here in North America by Samsung so they won't help me

Need a new battery? How old is the phone?
