It's Microsoft's version of Slack. If you don't have a job that uses it, there's no reason to use it and there's probably a setting somewhere where you can turn it off on startup.

@GuyWithOpinions Could be part of a Microsoft update that reset some setting somewhere and now it's loading up for you. If you open the settings menu in Teams, the first option at the top should be a checkmark that says "Auto-start Teams", just uncheck that
