transferring data from PC to MacBook Pro

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro and I used migration to move MOST of my files to the MacBook. But , several field did not transfer. I have several files in MSFT Word that did not transfer and nothing I have tried has worked. I tried to copy the file and email it to myself and paste it to my Mac but it did not work. I also bought a cable to hook up between the two and nothing worked.

I tried a few other things, but does any one have other ideas?

I would suggest searching online or try ChatGPT (use specific prompting). Apple MacOS and iOS uses a different file structure I believe, although I would think import software/apps exist that would do the necessary reformat operations.

You might try to save them in RTF and import that. Unless you have a lot of formatting.

Unless the formatting is important, save the PC doc as text and then import it

Email one from the olf machine and see what happens when you open it on the mac
zip the file. Go to icloud.com on your PC. Upload the file there. Download it on your mac.

Do you have a flash drive/removable disk, somewhere?
