Does your dog dislike people in costumes? Does it complicate Halloween?

4meAndyou · F
We had very small dogs when we lived in places where trick or treaters came to the door. We were able to confine them to the kitchen and dining room with a child gate, and put the barker breaker collars on them for the one night.

After we moved from our townhouse condo, we lived on a busy road without sidewalks, and we were also very far back from the road, so no one ever came for Halloween again. But if they HAD, we had a fenced and gated back yard.

My two hid in their kennels last year. Big scaredy cats.

Yes, hoods and masks are scary.
It doesn't complicate Halloween, she just hides in the basement.

Unfortunately you can't do fun 'costume with the dog' ...she doesn't mind dressing up but once we hit the street for trick or treating, the first kids we encounter causes a mad dash home to duck and cover.

I have to take off my hoodie every time I see my nephews dog.
@Lostpoet I had a dog that didn't like hoodies, he felt they were trying to hide.😆
