Nala
Not sure why I picked it.. it just suited her.. it came down to either Aspen or Nala. She’s a rescue and her original name was Audi (as in the car maker)

Here is a rare photo of these two not jumping all over me:
Loki is the brown one. Named him after 3 days of having him. Named him for the God of Mischief for mischief he is.
And Basil. Mum named him that when she first met him. And the little f#cker refused to answer to anything else!

The brown and white one is Eve.
I named her mostly after the other robot from the movie WALL-E, but also from the Biblical character of the same name. Either way, the reasoning is the same. I was inconsolably lonely, and I was hoping a dog would help with that. Just like Adam and WALL-E, Eve was meant to help me with the void in my life.
The goofy looking one closest to the camera is Fenris.
I named him after the infamous wolf of Norse mythology that is prophesized to kill Odin during the events of Ragnarök. He's a scary looking dog. He looks like you blended all the big mean security dogs out there into one. And his heterochromia makes him look magical or mystical in a certain way, so I had to give him a fitting name from the pantheon of legendary beings.
I almost named him Ares at first because he looks like he was bred for war, but I didn't want to scare other dogs from playing with him by giving him such a menacing name

I have 4 dogs and I let my brother name all of them.
1. Kaworu (still have to ask)
2. Nero because he’s black
3. Juno (still have to ask)
4. Angela - We bought her and we can’t change her name anymore. My brother wanted to name her Cleo.

My wife named the dogs because I don't have strong opinions about names but of course had to approve:
- Gaz is a short version of Gareth, literally named after a friend of ours in Wales
- Nora was one she just liked and had kicking around in her head
- Enzo is named after Enzo Ferrari 'cause she's a racing fan

My older dog (R) is named Gigi, named after Leslie Caron's academy award winning film.
My younger dog (L) is Callie, who already had the name when we adopted her. We liked the name, and our family had never had a dog with that name....so we kept her name.

Only dog in the family was when I was nothing more than a tiny baby.
His name is just about only thing I know of him other than he was a German Shepherd. Max! Likely my half brother named him. Not certain who though.

Well both my dogs are gone now, but years ago when I got the first one from the shelter they told me his name was Tipper as I was taking him, I supposed from the bit of white at the end of his tail otherwize being mostly black. I thought to myself then and there, no way is he keeping that name. So I wanted him to have a regular human name, so went thru the A names I could think of, B names, and on until I got to the H's, then got to Henry, looked at him, and it seemed a perfect fit.. so that's why, how he got it.. Miss them both

I named my dog Wilbur. My ex roommates friend was going to take him to the pound because she didn’t like way he looked. He was about year old. I took him. One day he was staring at the wall there was a spider corner of the wall. Looked like he was communicating with the spider. Got his name from Charlotte’s Web.
