I’m such a dog lover 💕

I don’t believe dogs should be left outside..

I just don’t agree with it, I believe dogs should be treated like part of the family.. they should be loved and kept warm not left outside in all weathers.

Some people buy dogs and treat them so badly it actually breaks my heart 💔

With the exception of some guardian dogs, that were bred to handle the weather, I agree. My dogs slept in my bed, or next to it. They are meant to be companions, not something to be looked at through a window without any direct contact.
As for those that claim, "It's a guard dog.", NO!! It's a freakin' noise maker that keeps the neighbors awake, and won't be able to guard you very well from the back yard!! If your dog is expected to protect you, wouldn't it be easier, and more effective, if the dog has direct access to your person?🤦‍♂️

@UnderLockDown mmmh I get your point but if you lived in an area where burglars are a legitimate everyday threat then dogs in the yard at night is a definite bonus. Dogs are bred for many different purposes and there are no rules that say they can’t overlap.

I've never had a dog in the House and never will. Dogs belong outside in their own little doggy house, food, toys, and blankies. What I don't agree is leashing them all night and day. They deserve to roam freely in the yard.

I guess everyone has their own opinions personally I couldn’t do that my dogs are like my kids and I definitely wouldn’t leave my kids outside although there have been times I have felt like it lmao 🤣 @SW-User

I guess it depends on why people have the dogs. Some people have working dogs who guard their property, herd their livestock, or are used for hunting, etc. They’re not really pets. And they’re not abused; they’re fed well, taken to the vet regularly and have a warm, secure place to sleep.

My big dogs sleep outside and come visit in the day. My little ones stay inside. They have beautiful kennels and are well cared for. We live on a big property and although they are pets, we need them for security as well. Also I don’t live in an area where it snows or the weather is very severe. My dogs enjoy lying under the shade of a tree while scratching their balls or in the sand, they like running around the yard at night and barking every now and again. I don’t think that if your dogs stays outside you don’t love or care for them.

I went to a house today and they keep all 3 dogs outside and one is very very skinny it just really breaks me to see they have no time for the dogs so why have them? I don’t understand it! @LilithoftheTrees

It is just wrong to get a dog only to be a guard dog in my opinion. All dogs need time exercising, playing, cuddling, training, because dogs get lonely if they have no one that speaks to them, and bored if they have no one to play with.
Many people don't know that dogs' emotions are stronger than peoples, and they can get depressed and anxious when ignored. They learn language and understand when we speak lovingly to them. Undeveloped countries they just have very little education about animal needs so it's normal in many countries to treat dogs as a cow or a horse. In most western countries and educated areas dogs are like family because they are pack animals, and they consider us their family.

My dogs sleep in our bed too lol, one lays in between me and hubby with her head on my pillow and my little one sleeps at the bottom of the bed under the cover lol I love it!! @WaryWitchWandering

I don't see the point of having a dog you don't see that often because it's outside! Dogs are pack animals and are lonely by themselves not to mention the weather.

I went to a house today they have three frenchies all left outside sat shivering at the door but they won’t let them in and they all fight with each other it’s terrible @Dewkissedrose

I feel like dogs could stay outside during the day and come in at night or if the weather is really bad. But they could still go out for a little while on a bad day. Dogs like the outside too. And even humans have to go out in bad weather. They just don't sleep in it. @smiler2012

@Spiritualangel777 Yes, I'm.jist nothing that if dogs are safe, happy and healthy, I think it's okay to leave them outside.

Though, I don't have a problem with them inside (assuming they're mostly well behaved).

Some people really don’t need dogs at all and I know a few 😕. But I believe dogs can be outside but not all day, unless they have their own shelter built outside that can keep them safe in any weather

I do believe they should, I remember when I was 15 and had to babysit a little **** of a kid!

He had a big dog and that went straight out the door when I was there!

Wholly agreed. All our dogs when I was growing up slept inside. My dog who passed away two years ago slept on the bed with. My brother's Jack Russell sleeps next to me now.
