I think I've been chosen....

There is this cat that shows up everyday in my yard, but everytime I go towards it, it takes off, yet continues to return. I love cats, I'll gladly take it in, but I've never owned a cat! Help!!!!

A cat, unlike a dog, goes where it wishes and you will never own it, but it also knows where it is welcome.
Just care for it and one day it will turn to you as its family. But it will do it on its own terms and give you the love you seek.

Lucky for you cats are easy pets to have they practically take care of themselves just change the litter feed them and give them a little love

Could be a neighbors, let it come to you over time. You gotta let them approach you so they feel safe.

Establishing trust can take a long time. Food is key to begin this

It's simple. Feed it. Nurture it. Love it. ☺

Don`t go towards it, let it come to you. Are you feeding it?
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Raelovesyou Does it look like it needs to be fed? Is it gaunt looking?
Raelovesyou · 31-35, F
@Degbeme It is a pretty healthy looking cat, so I was wondering if it belongs to a neighbor
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Raelovesyou ah, that is possible. It just might be exploring your property to see what going on. I have a neighbours cat that comes in my yard and then leaves.
Let them come to you. You're big and scary
Raelovesyou · 31-35, F
@AlienTheExtraterrestrial Was that an insult?
Uncfred · 61-69, M
@Raelovesyou No honey, it is a fact, we as humans are big and so they are cautios.
@Raelovesyou No! Cats are small and cautious
