my baby cat had cancer. she was only 3 years old. it hurt so bad to lose her. she reminded me of charlie chaplin. she'd make me laugh. whenever i printed anything she would run to get it and bite her teeth into it like a staple. and i would roll up my receipts into balls and she would literally fetch them like a dog!

My daughter has a 19 yr old cat with the same thing. She is giving the IV's and the cat is on special food. He also had a kidney infection which sprung up. He was supposed to die. After that was under control, his levels came down slowly. He's lived 3 yrs like this. Still eating, drinking, and loving. Hang in there. A miracle is possible.

Aww, I feel for you tremendously. My cat, lived for only two years, his heart was so loving and affectionate, giving.... and we all know a few throw ups from a cat you should expect, but when I saw him losing weight, suffering I had no choice to place this to anything else, I took him to the vet, I remember crying when I learned he had kidney disease, I remember feeling judgment from the vet as often they assume you let them be exposed to something that would harm them. She in turn, after seeing my emotions, gave us the food to help him at "cost", send us home with fluids to inject into him (my partner's mom did as she was an RNA, registered nurse) and we gave him a home and love until the moment he could not live anymore. I remember my girlfriend calling me at a new work place, I had already said yes to overtime, I couldn't just leave and the moment I got home, as he was my cat, he was my love, he was my friend, he died in my arms as soon as I could be with him.

Love them. They'll never forget, they may even hold onto their love long enough to give you their love.

i'm a cat dad myself and reading your post has put a tear in my eye. i am so sorry you're going through this. i had a cat that lived to 18. i hope my little one now (she's 2) lasts as long. i feel your pain as i will be heart broken if she goes early...

I think anyone who has had pets is going to understand what you're going through. It's the hardest part about it. But...

And I bet he paid you back every day. And you paid him back for what he brought to your lives. You saved his life. Either from the hurricane or a probably short life on the streets.

My cat was ordered to two types of homeopathic drops. I can´t recall the name now but I can look them up if you want. They worked very well.
I decreased his solid food and starting offering water and diet snacks (popsicles) that he loves but are served in a bowl of water. The amount of urine has improved ande he is fine now

This made me cry. I wish there was some way to make him feel better. I pray that his day are filled with happiness and love.

I feel your pain. I had a dachshund that was only 9 when she died. Had a ton of issues over time including cancer. Tried even put her through surgery only to die a month later. Was devastating I wailed at the vet because I didn’t make it in time before she passed away

Animals on the street have less life expectancy, even if supported afterwards. It isn't your fault, you gave him everything.

I'm very sorry our cat died of cancer and we had to put him down. In the end he was just a heap of misery

Unfortunately, it is all to common in cats.
