For Cat Owners, What Was The Worst Place Your Cat Decided To Use The Bathroom?

We had a box of pecans (a banana box full) that we spent an entire Sunday afternoon gathering on a farm in the next county, had to divide half of what we picked up with the farmer who had the pecan trees so we collected two banana boxes full and gave up one. My uncle put all the pecans in a banana box on the floor of the dining room and we were cracking them to cook with and one day discovered the cat had used it for a litter box….she must have gotten locked out of the bathroom.

LMaO! That’s pretty funny.

One time I brought my cat to my bfs house bc I was basically living there anyway. But the cat had an adjustment issue whenever he changed settings. Some cats are like that. Anyway my bf was adamant about putting the litter box on the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms which I told him was a bad idea since the cat was hiding 24/7 under the bed and if he was too scared, he wouldn’t make it to the box. The box stayed empty for days and I couldn’t figure it out where he was going or IF he was going….

One morning I was sitting down on my bfs brand new sectional couch putting my shoes on in the sunroom getting ready for a morning run. Hmmmm…. something smells like…….

And allllll in between the cushions he had used it as a litter box. I felt so bad…. It was my cat who wrecked his couch.
@DoubleRings No, it was his lack of forethought that ruined his couch, he's supposed to know more than the cat, and you told him the box should be closer.

@UnderLockDown Indeed you’re right. I really did try to tell him but I didn’t think he would use his furniture! Maybe some laundry that can be easily washed or something. LOL.

Prior to this cat, I rescued a rescue cat from her demented owner, who was one of my patients. He developed an infection inside his leg, and x-rays showed that he had a pin in his leg that had never been removed.

At the very end, just before I had to put him to sleep, he developed a huge tumor on his hip at the infection site, and couldn't get inside the litter box any more. He would stand there with his front legs in, and his back legs out on the carpet...it broke my heart.

@4meAndyou This has happened to my cat too. It’s like they give up yet they are still trying to be a good kitty.
The bathroom floor and then hid it under the bathroom rug

An ice cube tray, I don't even know why and how he did that.

@Ilikecabbage Maybe he wanted to make little square poos like the Australian Wombats do. 🟫 🟫 🟫

In our bed.
If you leave extension cords coiled up she pees in the middle of them. 🤷‍♂️

@cherokeepatti Maybe they expect us to be able to smell their condition.

@Lilnonames can’t imagine standing there with a phone and taking a photo and not yelling at that cat to get out. It’s 11:30, looks like someone will have a change of lunch plans.
