@Confined I had a long haired torty named Autumn, until a few weeks ago. She didn’t die, but my big male cat was bullying her and she was very unhappy. She was easy to rehome because my daughter was willing to take her and the cat was happy to go with her. Can’t rehome him (Tucker) because he was a feral cat. It took him two years before he’d let me touch him. The torty and he are both 10 years old. Spent most of that time happily together. Suddenly, this past October, he started beating up on her and she wouldn’t fight back. So she went up on top of the kitchen cupboards. And lived there until January. Then my daughter took her. I’m glad because I didn’t want Tucker to have to be euthanized. When Autumn was gone, he tried to bully Misty….the tuxedo cat…..but she promptly put him in his place. Now, he walks cautiously around her, and treats her with respect. And he loves her.

@ClassicRocker yes dusty was our first cat our dad got her as a kitten she was feral and could be short tempered especially as we where small kids at the time . dusty went to live two doors away from us and had kittens which was when we got smokey . she was a lovely cat really soft and from smokey we got our third cat tigger . he was a proper kitten barmy he fell into a bath of water and fell out of a bedroom window . thankfully he was not hurt just shaken by his ordeal .poor tigger got hit by a car and ran off and we never saw him again we did look for him .now we have got our jess as i said jess is my world
