A year or two ago I was on a long solo drive to visit my parents. I pulled over at a rest stop and was having some lunch at a picnic table when three cats walked over to visit. I gave them some food and played with them for a while before going on.
I didn’t realize at the time that they had probably been abandoned by someone. It has bothered me ever since. I love cats so much. I don’t know how I would have or could have taken them with me, but maybe I’d have figured something out if I’d realized what had happened. I hope they found a home.
