It used to be the sound of pee splashing on my linoleum tiles....with a few *splat* *splat* sounds in between. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

@4meAndyou Im not sure I want to know the story here
4meAndyou · F
@JohnnyNoir Nope. That you do NOT. But my little guy has passed away now. Still...I want no repeats of the experience.

@4meAndyou a pet I'm assuming.
4meAndyou · F
@JohnnyNoir Yup. My cat. He was a diabetic, and sort of lost control of every little thing toward the end of his life.

@4meAndyou it's hard to deal with. Losing a pet like that is tough I've been though it too
4meAndyou · F
@JohnnyNoir I'm sorry. Definitely not easy to deal with. I feel for you.
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou it's a helpless feeling, nothing you can do for them other than trying to make them as comfortable as possible

@JohnnyNoir I didn't even know that my little boy was going to be put to sleep. I gave him to a no-kill shelter, because one of their volunteers told me he would receive the medical care he needed, and then he would be put up for adoption as a special needs pet. I thought there was still hope for him. I called two weeks later to see how he was doing, and found out that they had put him to sleep the very first night he arrived. I found out his liver had been failing, and that he was in a lot of pain. I was just way too late with getting him to medical care.

@4meAndyou I've had to put a couple down. They were too sick, nothing I could do. I held them as they were put to sleep. I can't imagine taking them and having them put down without them telling you. That would hurt much worse

@JohnnyNoir It was a shock. He was picked up on a Sunday, and that night as I was trying to go to sleep, I could have sworn I heard a scream inside my head...screaming "MOM!!!!!!" And then it was gone. I was spooked, and wondered if it could have been my little guy screaming for me. And now I am pretty sure it WAS.

@4meAndyou that's heartbreaking, and I certainly won't rule out you hearing him. So much we don't know or understand about them. I think they're part alien. I still have a couple tho
4meAndyou · F
@JohnnyNoir I'm glad that you do. They are soooo comforting to have near.

@JohnnyNoir Aww. They are beautiful. I had a tuxedo cat when I was married the second time. She had a little beard thing going on. She looked like Frank Zappa...🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou he's a mess. 14 years old at least. Shelter rescue. He sits by me when I dress in the morning and lays on or near me at night, sometimes staying there
4meAndyou · F
@JohnnyNoir Well, he NEEDS you. Lucky guy, you!
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou he is my buddy
