Is offline really the new way to feel at peace?

Top | New | Old
Definitely is one way.

To extrapolate from your original Question:
If we consider the history of the homo sapien sapien, online is *exceedingly new* and ditto for the technology and its offspring, etc.

Online is an addiction for some.
For others it's an only portal to the world, their community and a social life, and the degrees are relative.

We each have to really listen for the whisper of our soul, it is not easy to hear. Follow our own drummer!

We can't turn the clock back but, it's about our peace and a balance.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Very nicely stated.

I purposely leave here after a few minutes to avoid being addicted to this site.
I learned from the past to not get too involved. Less drama!

I suppose "offline" is actually the old way to achieve peace!

I think so. I took a break from the internet last year for a few months to focus on getting grades up. At first I was just missing it and felt lonely. After a while everything improved. I looked back on it as a time when I was happier and more optimistic about life in general. That's not to say everything sucks for me now, but I definitely use social media a lot less than I used to and I don't look at my phone between certain hours. Any little bit helps.

It really is. I'm addicted to this place or I'd never look at my phone.

Same, man. Samedt.
It can be one way to do it, yes. There's many other ways as well. Deep Introspection and personal confrontation & healing time usually helps me get closer back to it. But everyone has to find their own way(s)
Know Jesus, Know peace He is the prince of peace.

No Jesus, No peace. True

The older gentleman standing up.
He was pretty funny in the movie.
He was also Dad to Beau as well as Jeff. They both inherited their acting “chops” from him!

I know plenty of people, typically older, that still live 'offline'. But they do not know peace.

Their televisions sell them fear, their churches sell them anxiety, their newspapers and magazines and signs along the roads sell them inadequacy.

Online is but a tool that can acquire all of those things more quickly and more efficiently than offline. But online itself is not the breaker of peace.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Only if you're in the peaceful environment. Many escape online from shit that happens to them offline.
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
@CrazyMusicLover
This is also true
