Is offline really the new way to feel at peace?

I think so. I took a break from the internet last year for a few months to focus on getting grades up. At first I was just missing it and felt lonely. After a while everything improved. I looked back on it as a time when I was happier and more optimistic about life in general. That's not to say everything sucks for me now, but I definitely use social media a lot less than I used to and I don't look at my phone between certain hours. Any little bit helps.
