My family won't let me get a dog. If I could I'd get like a Golden Retriever or a Chocolate Lab... But! We have two cat's!! Miss Africa is a snuggle bug! She's turning 17 this June!!! She is a gentle soul, full of love and energy... Then we have Miss Jasper! I swear she talks!!! She's 3 years old and is as smart as a three year old child!! The other day she was meowing at the door to be let out! But it was passed her curfew!! I said "You can't go outside it's passed 9:00 O'clock!" She said " I know! Then I said "You can't go outside, there are coyotes outside and they'll come and eat you!" She said "I know!" I was shocked that she spoke English I just had to let her have her way!! So I let her out and she darted down the drive way and passed the garage! She came back in half an hour later bright eye'd and bushy tailed and full of playful energy! She was as happy as can be! I was glad to have let her have her way! I was just shocked that she could speak!! ENGLISH!!!! Again!!!! Either she's possessed, or she's a genius!!! She was just a farm cat when we got her!!
My friend breeds Pugs! She's even bread a pure white one called Miss Piggy! She has black ones and faun colored ones.. Another lady I know has a freckled beautiful Pug with blue eyes! But mostly they have the regular faun colored ones with the black faces.
@MoveAlong I doubt it, she's a very successful hunter. She disappears for 10-15 minutes and will bring back some fairly sizable prey. We have wild rabbits by the thousands here, and they only stay as far away as they think she can see. They aren't the brightest of bunnies...😹 Both of my cats are from the local colony that live in the foothills. I often see a feral tom prowling the hills, and they all look fairly healthy. The key ingredient here is training from an adult cat. I have seen several generations of this colony and the successful cats are kittens that got trained by a mother or sibling.
We once had an indoor/outdoor orange Tom who caught birds at will. Our back yard bordered woods. If we were on the deck or in the yard he would often dart off into the woods to hunt and he rarely came back empty pawed. He liked to drop his prey at our feet. I guess he was offering it to us or wanted praise which he usually got.
Some cats are snuggle bugs, some seem like snuggle bugs until you touch them for more than your allotted time (which is random) and then they want to rip your face off. They need a lot of respect.
