I would let the owner know and let them have the opportunity to come by and pick it up.

If that falls on deaf ears, i would use a shovel and toss it back in their yard

I honestly wouldn’t care. It decomposes. Nobody gave a shit about this stuff ages ago. Just watch where you step and relax.

Save up bacon grease in a Coke can. Then go to all the piles in your yard and pour a bit of it on each one. When the dog comes back sniffing around he’ll clean those piles up. Then go tell your neighbor that he might want to get that dog check by the vet because he is eating a lot of poo.

I return it to their yard.

I've got dogs of my own so cleaning up doesn't bother me.

Be amazed. I have a 4 to 9 foot tall wall around my yard, with a 6 foot fence atop that. While foxes and a few deer have found ways into my yard, I have yet to see a dog that can jump 10 to 15 feet high.
