Were you ever close to someone who ended up using you to fill a void then dumped you when it wasn't ideal?

being · 36-40, F
Myself I guess, pathetic highly but true. I was all accepting and proud, once a project was finished I'd dump me like useless. I know bit better now.
Yes. I'd say one in 10 million would NOT do it. So if one is lucky enough to find that one in ten million, he or she should not ruin it by being bitter, like I did.

Around these parts that's like just another day at the office.

In the case of one gf who broke up with me rather unexpectedly, it might have been the case that she intended from the start to go out with me in the short term and then break it off, but I will never know for sure. (I might have been a "summer romance" while the guy she soon married afterwards was away.)

Mmhm.. 😔
Seems like standard behavior on social media. When it doesn't work, they just look for another.

It happens, and it's ok.

Now I do participate without getting indulged.
Yes . I was genuine and they just wanted me to be an amusing pretty jewel...until they didn't ...

Yes. Something like that, anyway.

There's been a few times when I've been dating a guy for a couple months but then they decide they still love their wife and don't want to carry on cheating
SophSmiles · 22-25, F
Yes, it’s happened a few times
BigImo · 22-25, F
