People make weird assumptions

It's funny how many people told me sheep are ewes.

Well, sheep are sheep. There are ewes and tups (rams). They are all still sheep.

And you can't use the tups on the new lambs because that is bad breeding. So you can own tups, but only use them with the original stock, or lease them out to those who don't want to care for a tup. Eventually, you have to get new tups to get new genes in the pool.

Growing up with parents who owned a dog kennel, offered stud service and raised puppies maybe gives me a unique perspective, but it really is funny the people who just assume I'm stupid and don't know how sex or genealogy works.

I have learned almost anything one doesn't know, makes them arrogant when they hold an opinion of what they don't know about, so they act like know it all's without a clue. They will say how you are wrong, because they are waiting with baited breath to tell you when it's really about their ego

@awildsheepschase That is true. I admit I can be guilty of it too, but I would like to think it is because text is a bad way to communicate. But when it is pointed out I am wrong, I will always admit that I am. Otherwise, how do I learn new things if I'm constantly insisting I'm right?
@FoxyQueen There's a lot in this world to point out that are just wrong. I've never figured out how do I call something wrong and then listen to people who think differently? Some think one crime, you should end up being in the electric chair, while others hope for something else more caring. Then you live in a world where America elected a rapist, and how much compassion do you want to give him?

@awildsheepschase Me personally, none. The man is a monster and unfortunately, he has become the personality idol of a lot of monsters in this nation. People are showing who they really are and it's pretty terrifying. I'm tired of pretending his followers aren't dangerous.
@FoxyQueen But you also have to focus upon yourself and what you love and value instead? That gives way more than listening to his idiocy, and probably the antidote to his madness. There is two ways to protest the world, say how you are against which often drags you down, and the other way is being what you want to see in the world.

Less who listen to him, he loses power. It is that simple. Don't give him a voice

@awildsheepschase Absolutely! I have created a haven away from the world for myself with my home and I have created a pretty good space for myself online where I'm not constantly inundated with the horribleness of what is going on. It doesn't mean I've hidden my head in the sand, but that I choose what I look at and see. I don't go for the click bait rage making things and stick with what really matters and what is important to me. I live in trump country, so I have to create safe havens out of necessity.
@FoxyQueen I'm Canadian, Trump loves taunting us. We have collectively said no, we still have moral standards and compassion, but the way to removing his power is not listening to him instead of feeding his power as he's operating upon anything that keeps him in the headlines is a win. He doesn't care about the outcome only how his name is remembered.
What makes YOU happy?
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@awildsheepschase Making things and decorating my house, gardening, learning new things, creating, cooking, canning, my pets, i have a lot of things that make me happy. :)
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@awildsheepschase How about you? What makes you happy?
@FoxyQueen Sometimes I wish I knew, but I love watering my plants, playing with my cats who I know will give me endless meows, I even heard the one last night wailing while I was waiting outside for my coworker to drive me into work, and I thought poor Mosby, he loves me. If I could have gone inside I would have held him. I miss camping, being in nature. All those things matter way before an egotistical politician you are right to call wrong, but also love what you have that will give you more than anything they may try to take away

@awildsheepschase Sounds like you read the novel your name comes from
@FoxyQueen Yes, but long ago and surprised someone else knows it
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@awildsheepschase tbf, I looked it up. It sounds a bit like "Life of Pi" and "One Hundred Years of Solitude", with a bit of the movie "Brazil" tossed in.
@FoxyQueen Maybe, it could be all of those I suppose. I chose this nick while it not being my favourite novel by the author, as I wanted one friend to know it was me when I messaged him. But kudos to taking the time and looking it up :)

@awildsheepschase Of course!
